Isaïe 25:6

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

25

2 כִּ֣י שַׂ֤מְתָּ מֵעִיר֙ לַגָּ֔ל קִרְיָ֥ה בְצוּרָ֖ה לְמַפֵּלָ֑ה אַרְמ֤וֹן זָרִים֙ מֵעִ֔יר לְעוֹלָ֖ם לֹ֥א יִבָּנֶֽה׃ Tu as fait de la ville un monceau de pierres, de la cité fortifiée un amas de ruines; la citadelle des barbares est rayée du nombre des villes, plus jamais elle ne sera rebâtie.
4 כִּי־הָיִ֨יתָ מָע֥וֹז לַדָּ֛ל מָע֥וֹז לָאֶבְי֖וֹן בַּצַּר־ל֑וֹ מַחְסֶ֤ה מִזֶּ֙רֶם֙ צֵ֣ל מֵחֹ֔רֶב כִּ֛י ר֥וּחַ עָרִיצִ֖ים כְּזֶ֥רֶם קִֽיר׃ Car tu as été un refuge pour l’humble, un refuge pour le pauvre en sa détresse, un abri contre l’averse, un ombrage contre la chaleur: le souffle des tyrans est comme l’averse battant les murs.
5 כְּחֹ֣רֶב בְּצָי֔וֹן שְׁא֥וֹן זָרִ֖ים תַּכְנִ֑יעַ חֹ֚רֶב בְּצֵ֣ל עָ֔ב זְמִ֥יר עָרִיצִ֖ים יַעֲנֶֽה׃ {פ}
8 בִּלַּ֤ע הַמָּ֙וֶת֙ לָנֶ֔צַח וּמָחָ֨ה אֲדֹנָ֧י יֱהֹוִ֛ה דִּמְעָ֖ה מֵעַ֣ל כׇּל־פָּנִ֑ים וְחֶרְפַּ֣ת עַמּ֗וֹ יָסִיר֙ מֵעַ֣ל כׇּל־הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה דִּבֵּֽר׃ {פ}

Commentaires sur Isaïe 25:6

Rashi

English

And the Lord of Hosts shall make for all the peoples when they come to mobilize against Jerusalem.

a feast of fat things which they think that it will be easy for them like fat, which is smooth and soft, will be converted for them to a feast of dregs.

fat things full of marrow soft and fat like the marrow of bones, will be dregs well refined from any liquid of wine or oil, for there will be there only the dregs. All this will be in the war of Gog and Magog.

Targum Jonathan

English

And in this mountain shall make a feast and a banquet; they think that it shall be for their glory; but it shall be to them for disgrace and for mighty afflictions, from which they shall not deliver themselves, afflictions through which they shall come to an end.

Ibn Ezra

English

In this mountain. In Zion.

A feast of fat things, etc. God will feed them with fat things,

ממחים with things full of marrow—comp. ומוח and the marrow (Job. 21:24); ממחים is participle Pual—

and then he will give them to drink lees well refined, so that they will become drunk; comp. As you have drunk on my holy mountain, etc. (Obad. 16)
