1 וְהֶחֱזִ֩יקוּ֩ שֶׁ֨בַע נָשִׁ֜ים בְּאִ֣ישׁ אֶחָ֗ד בַּיּ֤וֹם הַהוּא֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לַחְמֵ֣נוּ נֹאכֵ֔ל וְשִׂמְלָתֵ֖נוּ נִלְבָּ֑שׁ רַ֗ק יִקָּרֵ֤א שִׁמְךָ֙ עָלֵ֔ינוּ אֱסֹ֖ף חֶרְפָּתֵֽנוּ׃ {ס} En ce jour, sept femmes s’attacheront à un seul homme et lui diront: "Nous voulons subvenir nous-mêmes à notre nourriture et pourvoir à nos vêtements, donne-nous seulement ton nom, mets fin à notre déshonneur."

2 בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יִֽהְיֶה֙ צֶ֣מַח יְהֹוָ֔ה לִצְבִ֖י וּלְכָב֑וֹד וּפְרִ֤י הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ לְגָא֣וֹן וּלְתִפְאֶ֔רֶת לִפְלֵיטַ֖ת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ En ce jour, la plante du Seigneur sera revêtue d’éclat et de splendeur, et le fruit du pays fera l’orgueil et la gloire des débris d’Israël,

3 וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ הַנִּשְׁאָ֣ר בְּצִיּ֗וֹן וְהַנּוֹתָר֙ בִּיר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם קָד֖וֹשׁ יֵאָ֣מֶר ל֑וֹ כׇּל־הַכָּת֥וּב לַחַיִּ֖ים בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ et on dénommera saint quiconque aura été sauvé dans Sion et épargné dans Jérusalem, quiconque aura été marqué pour la vie à Jérusalem.

4 אִ֣ם ׀ רָחַ֣ץ אֲדֹנָ֗י אֵ֚ת צֹאַ֣ת בְּנוֹת־צִיּ֔וֹן וְאֶת־דְּמֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם יָדִ֣יחַ מִקִּרְבָּ֑הּ בְּר֥וּחַ מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּבְר֥וּחַ בָּעֵֽר׃ Une fois que le Seigneur aura lavé la souillure des filles de Sion et nettoyé Jérusalem du sang qui la tache, en y faisant passer un souffle de justice, un vent de destruction,

5 וּבָרָ֣א יְהֹוָ֡ה עַל֩ כׇּל־מְכ֨וֹן הַר־צִיּ֜וֹן וְעַל־מִקְרָאֶ֗הָ עָנָ֤ן ׀ יוֹמָם֙ וְעָשָׁ֔ן וְנֹ֛גַהּ אֵ֥שׁ לֶהָבָ֖ה לָ֑יְלָה כִּ֥י עַל־כׇּל־כָּב֖וֹד חֻפָּֽה׃ alors l’Éternel créera sur toute l’étendue de la montagne de Sion et de ses lieux d’assemblée une nuée et une vapeur pendant le jour et, pendant la nuit, l’éclat d’un feu flamboyant; oui, tout endroit vénéré sera abrité par un dais.

6 וְסֻכָּ֛ה תִּהְיֶ֥ה לְצֵל־יוֹמָ֖ם מֵחֹ֑רֶב וּלְמַחְסֶה֙ וּלְמִסְתּ֔וֹר מִזֶּ֖רֶם וּמִמָּטָֽר׃ {פ}
Il y aura comme une tente donnant, le long du jour, de l’ombre contre la chaleur, servant d’asile et de refuge contre l’orage et la pluie.

On that day After the beauty of the ornaments of the adulteresses and the wanton women is curtailed, the glory of My people and the beauty of their honor will no longer depend upon these things.

the sprout of the Lord shall be to you for beauty.

for beauty and for honor They are the righteous who remain among them, and the sages, the students of the Torah; upon them will they depend the beauty of their honor.

and the fruit of the land They are the children of the righteous, the fruit of the Tree of Life. They shall be for greatness and glory, for the survivors of Israel will boast and praise themselves with them. צְבִי means ‘beauty,’ an object of desire, for there is desire in it.

Ibn Ezra

English

The branch of the Lord. Some refer this to Hezekiah; I think that it signifies the righteous portions of the inhabitants of Jerusalem that will be saved.

צבי Beauty (comp. Ez. 20:6); according to some, desire; comp. the Chaldæan יצבא he desires (Dan. 4:14). R. Moses Hakkohen takes it literally: God will send his blessing upon the plants and fruits.
