Isaïe 42:5

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

42

4 לֹ֤א יִכְהֶה֙ וְלֹ֣א יָר֔וּץ עַד־יָשִׂ֥ים בָּאָ֖רֶץ מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּלְתוֹרָת֖וֹ אִיִּ֥ים יְיַחֵֽלוּ׃ {פ}
6 אֲנִ֧י יְהֹוָ֛ה קְרָאתִ֥יךָֽ בְצֶ֖דֶק וְאַחְזֵ֣ק בְּיָדֶ֑ךָ וְאֶצׇּרְךָ֗ וְאֶתֶּנְךָ֛ לִבְרִ֥ית עָ֖ם לְא֥וֹר גּוֹיִֽם׃ "Moi, l’Éternel, je t’ai appelé pour la justice et je te prends par la main; je te protège et je t’établis pour la fédération des peuples et la lumière des nations;
9 הָרִאשֹׁנ֖וֹת הִנֵּה־בָ֑אוּ וַֽחֲדָשׁוֹת֙ אֲנִ֣י מַגִּ֔יד בְּטֶ֥רֶם תִּצְמַ֖חְנָה אַשְׁמִ֥יעַ אֶתְכֶֽם׃ {פ}
17 נָסֹ֤גוּ אָחוֹר֙ יֵבֹ֣שׁוּ בֹ֔שֶׁת הַבֹּטְחִ֖ים בַּפָּ֑סֶל הָאֹמְרִ֥ים לְמַסֵּכָ֖ה אַתֶּ֥ם אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ {פ}
Tu as vu de grandes choses et tu n’as pas fait attention, tu avais les oreilles ouvertes sans rien entendre!

Who gave a soul A soul of life.

to the people upon it To all of them equally.

and a spirit of sanctity.

to those who walk thereon To those who walk before Him.

Ibn Ezra

English

He that shaped the heavens. There is a line, by which they are bordered.

And stretched them out over the earth; comp. רקיע expanse (Gen. 1:6).

רוקע He that spread forth. ק has Pathah because of the ע which follows; comp. הנוטע he who planted (Psa. 94:9).

And that which cometh out of it. The plants which grow upon the surface of the earth.

He that giveth a soul unto the people upon it, that is, to man.

And breath to them that walk therein, that is, to the animals.

Upon it is used in the first instance, because man walks upright.
