Job 2:3

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

2

Sa femme lui dit: "Persévères-tu encore dans ta piété? Renie Dieu et meurs "
10 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלֶ֗יהָ כְּדַבֵּ֞ר אַחַ֤ת הַנְּבָלוֹת֙ תְּדַבֵּ֔רִי גַּ֣ם אֶת־הַטּ֗וֹב נְקַבֵּל֙ מֵאֵ֣ת הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים וְאֶת־הָרָ֖ע לֹ֣א נְקַבֵּ֑ל בְּכׇל־זֹ֛את לֹא־חָטָ֥א אִיּ֖וֹב בִּשְׂפָתָֽיו׃ {פ}

Rashi

English

maintains Heb. מחזיק, holds, as in (Exod. 4:4) “and he held (ויחזק) onto it”; (Prov. 26:17), “One who holds (מחזיק) onto a dog’s ears.”

Yet you enticed Me against him You enticed Me to destroy him. Every expression of הֲסָתָה is only an expression of attracting a person to his counsel.
