1 וַיֵּצֵ֨א הַגּוֹרָ֜ל לִבְנֵ֤י יוֹסֵף֙ מִיַּרְדֵּ֣ן יְרִיח֔וֹ לְמֵ֥י יְרִיח֖וֹ מִזְרָ֑חָה הַמִּדְבָּ֗ר עֹלֶ֧ה מִירִיח֛וֹ בָּהָ֖ר בֵּֽית־אֵֽל׃ Le lot qui échut aux enfants de Joseph partait du Jourdain, près de Jéricho, à l’est des eaux de Jéricho, suivant le désert qui monte de Jéricho, par la montagne, à Béthel;

2 וְיָצָ֥א מִבֵּֽית־אֵ֖ל ל֑וּזָה וְעָבַ֛ר אֶל־גְּב֥וּל הָאַרְכִּ֖י עֲטָרֽוֹת׃ se dirigeait de Béthel à Louz, passait devant la frontière de l’Arkéen à Ataroth;

3 וְיָֽרַד־יָ֜מָּה אֶל־גְּב֣וּל הַיַּפְלֵטִ֗י עַ֣ד גְּב֧וּל בֵּית־חוֹרֹ֛ן תַּחְתּ֖וֹן וְעַד־גָּ֑זֶר וְהָי֥וּ תֹצְאֹתָ֖ו יָֽמָּה׃ descendait à l’ouest, devant la frontière du Yaflétéen, jusqu’à celle de Béthorôn-le-Bas et jusqu’à Ghézer, et se terminait à la mer.

4 וַיִּנְחֲל֥וּ בְנֵֽי־יוֹסֵ֖ף מְנַשֶּׁ֥ה וְאֶפְרָֽיִם׃ Tel fut l’héritage des enfants de Joseph, Manassé et Ephraïm.

5 וַיְהִ֛י גְּב֥וּל בְּנֵֽי־אֶפְרַ֖יִם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם וַיְהִ֞י גְּב֤וּל נַחֲלָתָם֙ מִזְרָ֔חָה עַטְר֣וֹת אַדָּ֔ר עַד־בֵּ֥ית חוֹרֹ֖ן עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ Or, la frontière des enfants d’Ephraïm, selon leurs familles, la frontière de leur patrimoine fut: à l’est, Atrot-Addar, jusqu’à Béthorôn-le-Haut;

6 וְיָצָ֨א הַגְּב֜וּל הַיָּ֗מָּה הַֽמִּכְמְתָת֙ מִצָּפ֔וֹן וְנָסַ֧ב הַגְּב֛וּל מִזְרָ֖חָה תַּאֲנַ֣ת שִׁלֹ֑ה וְעָבַ֣ר אוֹת֔וֹ מִמִּזְרַ֖ח יָנֽוֹחָה׃ puis elle s’étendait à l’ouest, jusqu’au nord de Mikhmetat: tournait à l’orient de Taanat-Chilo, qu’elle franchissait jusqu’à l’orient de Yanoha;

7 וְיָרַ֥ד מִיָּנ֖וֹחָה עֲטָר֣וֹת וְנַעֲרָ֑תָה וּפָגַע֙ בִּֽירִיח֔וֹ וְיָצָ֖א הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ descendait de Yanoha vers Atarot et Naara, atteignait Jéricho et aboutissait au Jourdain.

8 מִתַּפּ֜וּחַ יֵלֵ֨ךְ הַגְּב֥וּל יָ֙מָּה֙ נַ֣חַל קָנָ֔ה וְהָי֥וּ תֹצְאֹתָ֖יו הַיָּ֑מָּה זֹ֗את נַחֲלַ֛ת מַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־אֶפְרַ֖יִם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם׃ De Tappouah elle allait à l’ouest jusqu’au torrent de Kana et avait pour terme la mer: tel fut le patrimoine des enfants d’Ephraïm selon leurs familles,

9 וְהֶעָרִ֗ים הַמִּבְדָּלוֹת֙ לִבְנֵ֣י אֶפְרַ֔יִם בְּת֖וֹךְ נַחֲלַ֣ת בְּנֵֽי־מְנַשֶּׁ֑ה כׇּל־הֶעָרִ֖ים וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃ outre les villes particulières des enfants d’Ephraïm, enclavées, avec leurs dépendances, dans le patrimoine des enfants de Manassé.

10 וְלֹ֣א הוֹרִ֔ישׁוּ אֶת־הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י הַיּוֹשֵׁ֣ב בְּגָ֑זֶר וַיֵּ֨שֶׁב הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֜י בְּקֶ֤רֶב אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ עַד־הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה וַיְהִ֖י לְמַס־עֹבֵֽד׃ {פ}
0n n’expulsa point les Cananéens établis à Ghézér; de sorte qu’ils demeurèrent au milieu d’Ephraïm jusqu’à ce jour et furent assujettis à un tribut.

The boundary then went out westward. Its length was westward to Michmesos; the boundary line continued north of Michmesos.

The boundary turned. The width of the border spread northward, and the border-line bulged outward to the east of Taanis-Shiloh.

And passed by it. The boundary passed by Taanis-shiloh, were permitted to be sacrificed and eaten in Shiloh, such as: Shelamin, (peace-offerings) Todah, (thanksgiving-offerings) the korban Pesach, (the paschal lamb) and the first-born offerings. Various tithes (maasir) could also be brought to the Mishkan at Shiloh. After the Mishkan at Shiloh was destroyed, the people mourned as they would at the destruction of the Beis Hamikdosh in Yerushalayim. Whenever they passed by its ruins they wood weep and mourn. It was therefore known as Taanis-Shiloh, which implies the mourning of Shiloh. and the boundary line passed east of Yonoach. This was all included in the bulge of the width, which terminated at the Jordan, and there was a city named Tapuach. From there the boundary line turned to the measure of the length of the westward boundary to the brook of Konnoh
