17

2 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לְאִמּ֡וֹ אֶ֩לֶף֩ וּמֵאָ֨ה הַכֶּ֜סֶף אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֻֽקַּֽח־לָ֗ךְ (ואתי) [וְאַ֤תְּ] אָלִית֙ וְגַם֙ אָמַ֣רְתְּ בְּאׇזְנַ֔י הִנֵּה־הַכֶּ֥סֶף אִתִּ֖י אֲנִ֣י לְקַחְתִּ֑יו וַתֹּ֣אמֶר אִמּ֔וֹ בָּר֥וּךְ בְּנִ֖י לַיהֹוָֽה׃ Il dit un jour à sa mère: "Les onze cents pièces d’argent qu’on t’a dérobées, vol dont tu as maudit l’auteur, et cela en ma présence, sache que cet argent est en ma possession; c’est moi qui l’ai pris."
3 וַיָּ֛שֶׁב אֶת־אֶלֶף־וּמֵאָ֥ה הַכֶּ֖סֶף לְאִמּ֑וֹ וַתֹּ֣אמֶר אִמּ֡וֹ הַקְדֵּ֣שׁ הִקְדַּ֣שְׁתִּי אֶת־הַכֶּ֩סֶף֩ לַיהֹוָ֨ה מִיָּדִ֜י לִבְנִ֗י לַֽעֲשׂוֹת֙ פֶּ֣סֶל וּמַסֵּכָ֔ה וְעַתָּ֖ה אֲשִׁיבֶ֥נּוּ לָֽךְ׃ Il rendit les onze cents pièces d’argent à sa mère, qui lui dit: "J’avais destiné cet argent à l’Éternel, voulant le remettre à mon fils pour qu’on en fît une image taillée avec métal; je te prie donc de le reprendre."
6 בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם אֵ֥ין מֶ֖לֶךְ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אִ֛ישׁ הַיָּשָׁ֥ר בְּעֵינָ֖יו יַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ {פ}
10 וַיֹּ֩אמֶר֩ ל֨וֹ מִיכָ֜ה שְׁבָ֣ה עִמָּדִ֗י וֶֽהְיֵה־לִי֮ לְאָ֣ב וּלְכֹהֵן֒ וְאָנֹכִ֨י אֶֽתֶּן־לְךָ֜ עֲשֶׂ֤רֶת כֶּ֙סֶף֙ לַיָּמִ֔ים וְעֵ֥רֶךְ בְּגָדִ֖ים וּמִחְיָתֶ֑ךָ וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ הַלֵּוִֽי׃ "Eh bien! lui dit Micah, demeure avec moi, sers-moi de père et de prêtre, et je te donnerai dix pièces d’argent par an, l’habillement complet et la nourriture." Et le lévite y alla.
13 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מִיכָ֔ה עַתָּ֣ה יָדַ֔עְתִּי כִּֽי־יֵיטִ֥יב יְהֹוָ֖ה לִ֑י כִּ֧י הָֽיָה־לִ֛י הַלֵּוִ֖י לְכֹהֵֽן׃ {פ}

Rashi

English

There was a man from Mount Ephraim. Although both incidents are recorded at the conclusion of this book, the episodes of Michah and the concubine at Givoh took place at the beginning of the period of Judges, during the days of Asniel ben Kenaz, as it is said, "They appointed, for themselves, the figure of Michah, etc., during the entire period of the Mishkon at Shiloh." We learn that, throughout the period of Shiloh, the graven figure of Michah was in existence. Concerning the concubine at Givoh, it is said, about Yevus of Jerusalem, "Let us not turn to an alien city" we learn that Jerusalem had not yet been conquered.
