וַיֹּ֩אמֶר֩ אַעֲלֶ֨ה אֶתְכֶ֜ם מִמִּצְרַ֗יִם וָאָבִ֤יא אֶתְכֶם֙ אֶל־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נִשְׁבַּ֙עְתִּי֙ לַאֲבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וָאֹמַ֕ר לֹֽא־אָפֵ֧ר בְּרִיתִ֛י אִתְּכֶ֖ם לְעוֹלָֽם׃ Un envoyé du Seigneur s’en vint de Ghilgal à Bokhîm et dit de sa part: "Je vous avais fait monter d’Égypte et entrer dans le pays que j’avais promis par serment à vos pères, et j’avais dit: "Je ne romprai jamais mon alliance avec vous;

It would happen that, at the death of the judge, they would regress into depravity worse than that of their forefathers, by following other gods, worshiping them, and prostrating themselves before them. they fell nothing short Of their [forefathers'] misdeeds nor from their stubborn ways.

But it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to worship them; they left nothing undone of their practices, nor of their stubborn way.

tiam, apenaŭ la juĝisto mortis, ili denove fariĝis pli malbonaj ol iliaj patroj, sekvante aliajn diojn, servante al ili, kaj adorante ilin.
