1 לְדָוִ֗ד מִ֫זְמ֥וֹר נְאֻ֤ם יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ לַֽאדֹנִ֗י שֵׁ֥ב לִֽימִינִ֑י עַד־אָשִׁ֥ית אֹ֝יְבֶ֗יךָ הֲדֹ֣ם לְרַגְלֶֽיךָ׃ De David. Psaume. L’Éternel a dit à mon maître: "Assieds-toi à ma droite, jusqu’à ce que j’aie fait de tes ennemis un escabeau pour tes pieds."

2 מַטֵּֽה־עֻזְּךָ֗ יִשְׁלַ֣ח יְ֭הֹוָה מִצִּיּ֑וֹן רְ֝דֵ֗ה בְּקֶ֣רֶב אֹיְבֶֽיךָ׃ L’Éternel étendra de Sion le sceptre de ta puissance: domine au milieu de tes ennemis.

3 עַמְּךָ֣ נְדָבֹת֮ בְּי֢וֹם חֵ֫ילֶ֥ךָ בְּֽהַדְרֵי־קֹ֭דֶשׁ מֵרֶ֣חֶם מִשְׁחָ֑ר לְ֝ךָ֗ טַ֣ל יַלְדֻתֶֽיךָ׃ Ton peuple se montre plein de dévouement, le jour où tu déploies tes forces dans un saint appareil. Du sein de l’aurore t’arrive la rosée qui vivifie ta jeunesse.

4 נִשְׁבַּ֤ע יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ וְלֹ֥א יִנָּחֵ֗ם אַתָּֽה־כֹהֵ֥ן לְעוֹלָ֑ם עַל־דִּ֝בְרָתִ֗י מַלְכִּי־צֶֽדֶק׃ L’Éternel en a fait le serment qu’il ne révoquera point: "Tu es prêtre pour l’éternité à la façon de Melchisédech."

5 אֲדֹנָ֥י עַל־יְמִֽינְךָ֑ מָחַ֖ץ בְּיוֹם־אַפּ֣וֹ מְלָכִֽים׃ Le Seigneur est à ta droite, au jour de sa colère il brise des rois.

6 יָדִ֣ין בַּ֭גּוֹיִם מָלֵ֣א גְוִיּ֑וֹת מָ֥חַץ רֹ֝֗אשׁ עַל־אֶ֥רֶץ רַבָּֽה׃ Parmi les peuples il exerce la justice, accumule les cadavres; sur une étendue immense il fracasse des têtes.

7 מִ֭נַּחַל בַּדֶּ֣רֶךְ יִשְׁתֶּ֑ה עַל־כֵּ֝֗ן יָרִ֥ים רֹֽאשׁ׃ {פ}
Il boira sur la route de l’eau du torrent: aussi portera-t-il haut la tête.

The Lord swore and will not repent Since Abraham was afraid lest he be punished for the troops that he had killed, it was said to him (Gen. 15:1): “Fear not, Abraham, etc.”

you are a priest forever because of the speech of Malchizedek From you will emerge the priesthood and the kingship that your children will inherit from Shem your progenitor, the priesthood and the kingship, which were given to him. דִבְרָתִי מלכי-צדק. The “yud” is superfluous, like (Lam. 1:1): “the city that was once so populous (רבתי).” Because of the speech of Malchizedek, because of the command of Malchizedek. You are a priest, Heb. כהן. The word כהן bears the connotation of priesthood and rulership, as (II Sam. 8:18): “and David’s sons were chief officers.”

נשבע, אתה כהן - כל כהן משרת וכן ובני דוד כהנים היו. והטעם: לעבוד את השם והנה הטעם שישראל ילחמו ואתה תקח המעשר כאשר לקח מלכי צדק מאברהם. ויו"ד דברתי - נוסף ופירוש על דברם על מנהג כמו דוברות בים, או תחסר אות כ"ף אתה כהן לעולם על דברת כמו על דבר, שאתה כמלכי צדק ועליו כתוב: והוא כהן לאל עליון והנה תהיה מלת אתה בעבור אחרת. ורבי משה אמר: בעבור שאתה מלך צדק כמו: ויהי דוד עושה משפט וצדקה לכל עמו. הטעם: רב לך להלחם כי השם עוזר ימינך ומחץ ביום אפו מלכים על ידיך.
