1 מִזְמ֗וֹר לְדָ֫וִ֥ד הָב֣וּ לַ֭יהֹוָה בְּנֵ֣י אֵלִ֑ים הָב֥וּ לַ֝יהֹוָ֗ה כָּב֥וֹד וָעֹֽז׃ Psaume de David. Célébrez l’Éternel, ô fils de Dieu! Célébrez sa gloire et sa puissance.

2 הָב֣וּ לַ֭יהֹוָה כְּב֣וֹד שְׁמ֑וֹ הִשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ לַ֝יהֹוָ֗ה בְּהַדְרַת־קֹֽדֶשׁ׃ Rendez hommage au nom glorieux de l’Éternel, adorez l’Éternel dans son superbe sanctuaire.

3 ק֥וֹל יְהֹוָ֗ה עַל־הַ֫מָּ֥יִם אֵֽל־הַכָּב֥וֹד הִרְעִ֑ים יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה עַל־מַ֥יִם רַבִּֽים׃ La voix de l’Éternel retentit sur les eaux, le Dieu de gloire tonne, l’Éternel, sur les grandes eaux.

4 קוֹל־יְהֹוָ֥ה בַּכֹּ֑חַ ק֥וֹל יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה בֶּהָדָֽר׃ La voix de l’Éternel [éclate] avec force, la voix de l’Éternel, avec majesté.

5 ק֣וֹל יְ֭הֹוָה שֹׁבֵ֣ר אֲרָזִ֑ים וַיְשַׁבֵּ֥ר יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה אֶת־אַרְזֵ֥י הַלְּבָנֽוֹן׃ La voix de l’Éternel brise les cèdres, c’est l’Éternel qui met en pièces les cèdres du Liban,

6 וַיַּרְקִידֵ֥ם כְּמוֹ־עֵ֑גֶל לְבָנ֥וֹן וְ֝שִׂרְיֹ֗ן כְּמ֣וֹ בֶן־רְאֵמִֽים׃ qui les fait bondir comme de jeunes taureaux, le Liban et le Sirion comme de jeunes buffles.

7 קוֹל־יְהֹוָ֥ה חֹצֵ֗ב לַהֲב֥וֹת אֵֽשׁ׃ La voix de l’Éternel fait jaillir des flammes ardentes;

8 ק֣וֹל יְ֭הֹוָה יָחִ֣יל מִדְבָּ֑ר יָחִ֥יל יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה מִדְבַּ֥ר קָדֵֽשׁ׃ la voix de l’Éternel fait trembler le désert, l’Éternel fait trembler le désert de Kadêch.

9 ק֤וֹל יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ יְחוֹלֵ֣ל אַיָּלוֹת֮ וַֽיֶּחֱשֹׂ֢ף יְעָ֫ר֥וֹת וּבְהֵיכָל֑וֹ כֻּ֝לּ֗וֹ אֹמֵ֥ר כָּבֽוֹד׃ La voix de l’Éternel fait enfanter les biches, elle dépouille les forêts; dans son palais tous de s’écrier: "Gloire!"

10 יְ֭הֹוָה לַמַּבּ֣וּל יָשָׁ֑ב וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה מֶ֣לֶךְ לְעוֹלָֽם׃ L’Éternel trônait lors du déluge; ainsi l’Éternel trône en roi pour l’éternité.

11 יְֽהֹוָ֗ה עֹ֭ז לְעַמּ֣וֹ יִתֵּ֑ן יְהֹוָ֓ה ׀ יְבָרֵ֖ךְ אֶת־עַמּ֣וֹ בַשָּׁלֽוֹם׃ {פ}
Que l’Éternel donne la force à son peuple! Que l’Éternel bénisse son peuple par la paix!

English

The voice of the Lord will frighten the hinds In the future, it will frighten the nations of the world and cause [them] to quake, those who are now standing firmly like hinds, as the matter that is stated (above 18:34): “He makes my feet like hinds.” Said Rabbi Phinehas: It does not say, “like harts,” but “like hinds,” like the females, because the feet of the females stand straighter than those of the males (Mid. Ps. 22:1). Another explanation: יחולל is kria in Old French, to create, as (in Prov. 8: 25), “before the hills, I was created (חוללתי).”

and strip the forests Like (Gen. 30:37), “by uncovering (מחשף) the white.” He will strip the forest trees, i.e., he will strip the nations, compared to forest trees, of their glory, as is stated (in Amos 2:9): “whose height is as the height of the cedar trees.”

קול ה' יחולל אילות - הזכיר מדבר כנגד בהדר.

והזכיר מדבר קדש – בעבור היותו גדול ונורא.

והזכיר אילות – כי לידתו קשה והנה הרעם מחוללם. והטעם: יביא להם החיל מהרה ותלדנה בהפתח הרחם האיילה, גם בעבור הפחד.

וטעם: ויחשף יערות – יגלה בנפול האילנות.

יש אומרים: כי טעם ובהיכלו – השמים, כמו: ה' בהיכל קדשו. וטעם שהשוכנים בו יתנו כבוד לשם ואומרים: כמה גדול כבודך. ואחרים אמרו: כי הטעם על הכהנים והלוים העומדים להתפלל. ור' משה אמר: כי הטעם שהשוכנים בהיכלו הוא בית המקדש ולא יפחדו, כי השם יכבדם שלא יבא להם שום נזק בעבור הרעם, על כן אחריו: ה' למבול ישב. והטעם: כי המים השחיתו הרשעים אז נתגלתה מלכות השם, כי עשה בהם משפט והנה השם ימלט חסידיו כנח ובניו וימית שונאיו.

קול יי' יחולל אילות והם הקלים ברגליהם. והחזקים המשילם בארזים ובהרים, והקלים המשילם באילות שהן קלות ברגליהן; רוצה לומר: אז רוכבי הסוסים לא ימלטו ברגליהם כמו שאמר (עמוס ב טו): וקל ברגליו לא ימלט ורכב הסוס לא ימלט נפשו. או לפי שהמשיל ארץ העמים למדבר המשיל השוכים בה לאילות שהן שוכנות מדבר. ויחשף בסגו"ל אות הנוספת שלא כמנהג הפעלים אשר הם במשקל יפעול אלא בפת"ח, כמו יחלוף ויעבור והדומים. ופרוש ויחשף: כי בהפיל הארזים הנה והנה היערות חשופים. ובהיכלו כלו אמר כבוד. בהיכלו בירושלם יתנו כבוד לאל ששפט את העמים והכניעם אותו היום.
