1 לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ לִבְנֵי־קֹ֑רַח עַֽל־עֲלָמ֥וֹת שִֽׁיר׃ Au chef des chantres. Par les fils de Coré. Cantique sur les Alamoth.

2 אֱלֹהִ֣ים לָ֭נוּ מַחֲסֶ֣ה וָעֹ֑ז עֶזְרָ֥ה בְ֝צָר֗וֹת נִמְצָ֥א מְאֹֽד׃ Dieu est pour nous un abri, une force, un appui dans les tourments, facilement accessible.

3 עַל־כֵּ֣ן לֹֽא־נִ֭ירָא בְּהָמִ֣יר אָ֑רֶץ וּבְמ֥וֹט הָ֝רִ֗ים בְּלֵ֣ב יַמִּֽים׃ Aussi ne craindrons-nous rien, dût la terre bouger de sa place, et les montagnes s’abîmer au sein de l’Océan;

4 יֶהֱמ֣וּ יֶחְמְר֣וּ מֵימָ֑יו יִ֥רְעֲשֽׁוּ־הָרִ֖ים בְּגַאֲוָת֣וֹ סֶֽלָה׃ dussent ses flots gronder et bouillonner, et les montagnes trembler quand il entre en fureur!

5 נָהָ֗ר פְּלָגָ֗יו יְשַׂמְּח֥וּ עִיר־אֱלֹהִ֑ים קְ֝דֹ֗שׁ מִשְׁכְּנֵ֥י עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ Le fleuve…! Ses ondes réjouissent la ville de Dieu, demeure sainte du Très-Haut.

6 אֱלֹהִ֣ים בְּ֭קִרְבָּהּ בַּל־תִּמּ֑וֹט יַעְזְרֶ֥הָ אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים לִפְנ֥וֹת בֹּֽקֶר׃ Dieu réside au milieu d’elle: elle ne sera point ébranlée, Dieu venant à son secours dès le lever de l’aurore.

7 הָמ֣וּ ג֭וֹיִם מָ֣טוּ מַמְלָכ֑וֹת נָתַ֥ן בְּ֝קוֹל֗וֹ תָּמ֥וּג אָֽרֶץ׃ Les peuples s’agitent, les royaumes chancellent; il fait retentir sa voix: la terre se liquéfie!

8 יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֣וֹת עִמָּ֑נוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב־לָ֨נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃ L’Éternel-Cebaot est avec nous, le Dieu de Jacob est une citadelle pour nous. Sélah!

9 לְֽכוּ־חֲ֭זוּ מִפְעֲל֣וֹת יְהֹוָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר־שָׂ֖ם שַׁמּ֣וֹת בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ Venez, contemplez les œuvres de l’Éternel, qui a opéré des ruines sur la terre!

10 מַשְׁבִּ֥ית מִלְחָמוֹת֮ עַד־קְצֵ֢ה הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ קֶ֣שֶׁת יְ֭שַׁבֵּר וְקִצֵּ֣ץ חֲנִ֑ית עֲ֝גָל֗וֹת יִשְׂרֹ֥ף בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ Il met fin aux guerres jusqu’aux confins du globe, il brise les arcs, met en pièces les lances, et livre au feu les chars [des combats].

11 הַרְפּ֣וּ וּ֭דְעוּ כִּֽי־אָנֹכִ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים אָר֥וּם בַּ֝גּוֹיִ֗ם אָר֥וּם בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ Tenez-vous cois et sachez que moi, je suis Dieu, grand parmi les peuples, grand sur la terre!

12 יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֣וֹת עִמָּ֑נוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב־לָ֨נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃ {פ}
L’Éternel-Cebaot est avec nous, le Dieu de Jacob est une citadelle pour nous. Sélah!

English

when the earth changes in the future, on the day concerning which Scripture states (Isa. 51: 6): “and the earth shall rot away like a garment.” The sons of Korah saw the miracle that was performed for them, that all those around them were swallowed up while they [the sons of Korah] stood in the air and said to Israel, through the holy spirit, that a similar miracle would be performed for them in the future.
