1 לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ אַל־תַּשְׁחֵ֑ת מִזְמ֖וֹר לְאָסָ֣ף שִֽׁיר׃ Au chef des chantres. Al tachhêt. Psaume d’Assaph. Cantique.

2 ה֘וֹדִ֤ינוּ לְּךָ֨ ׀ אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים ה֭וֹדִינוּ וְקָר֣וֹב שְׁמֶ֑ךָ סִ֝פְּר֗וּ נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ Nous te rendons grâce, ô Dieu, nous te rendons grâce, ton nom est près [de nous]; qu’on proclame tes merveilles!

3 כִּ֭י אֶקַּ֣ח מוֹעֵ֑ד אֲ֝נִ֗י מֵישָׁרִ֥ים אֶשְׁפֹּֽט׃ "Quand, [dit Dieu], j’en aurai fixé l’heure, je rendrai mes arrêts avec équité.

4 נְֽמֹגִ֗ים אֶ֥רֶץ וְכׇל־יֹשְׁבֶ֑יהָ אָנֹכִ֨י תִכַּ֖נְתִּי עַמּוּדֶ֣יהָ סֶּֽלָה׃ Que la terre en soit alarmée avec ses habitants, moi, je raffermirai ses colonnes." Sélah!

5 אָמַ֣רְתִּי לַ֭הוֹלְלִים אַל־תָּהֹ֑לּוּ וְ֝לָרְשָׁעִ֗ים אַל־תָּרִ֥ימוּ קָֽרֶן׃ Je dis aux insensés: "Trêve de folies!" Aux méchants: "Ne relevez point la tête!"

6 אַל־תָּרִ֣ימוּ לַמָּר֣וֹם קַרְנְכֶ֑ם תְּדַבְּר֖וּ בְצַוָּ֣אר עָתָֽק׃ Ne relevez pas si haut la tête, ne vous rengorgez pas pour parler avec insolence;

7 כִּ֤י לֹ֣א מִ֭מּוֹצָא וּמִֽמַּעֲרָ֑ב וְ֝לֹ֗א מִמִּדְבַּ֥ר הָרִֽים׃ car ni de l’orient, ni du couchant, ni du désert ne vient la grandeur.

8 כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִ֥ים שֹׁפֵ֑ט זֶ֥ה יַ֝שְׁפִּ֗יל וְזֶ֣ה יָרִֽים׃ C’est Dieu qui est l’arbitre: il abaisse l’un, il élève l’autre.

9 כִּ֤י כ֪וֹס בְּֽיַד־יְהֹוָ֡ה וְיַ֤יִן חָמַ֨ר ׀ מָ֥לֵא מֶסֶךְ֮ וַיַּגֵּ֢ר מִ֫זֶּ֥ה אַךְ־שְׁ֭מָרֶיהָ יִמְצ֣וּ יִשְׁתּ֑וּ כֹּ֝֗ל רִשְׁעֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ Car l’Éternel tient une coupe en sa main, où écume un vin tout mêlé d’aromates; de ce vin il verse des rasades, mais la lie, ce sont tous les méchants de la terre qui l’aspirent et la boivent.

10 וַ֭אֲנִי אַגִּ֣יד לְעֹלָ֑ם אֲ֝זַמְּרָ֗ה לֵאלֹהֵ֥י יַעֲקֹֽב׃ Pour moi, je le proclamerai sans trêve, je chanterai le Dieu de Jacob.

11 וְכׇל־קַרְנֵ֣י רְשָׁעִ֣ים אֲגַדֵּ֑עַ תְּ֝רוֹמַ֗מְנָה קַֽרְנ֥וֹת צַדִּֽיק׃ {פ}
J’abattrai toutes les cornes des méchants; les cornes des justes se dresseront bien haut.

חמר. פועל עבר, ואדום הוא אחמר בערבי. ואמר כי הכוס מלא מסך ופירושו מזוג:

ויגר מזה. כי כל כך יהיה מלא הכוס עד שיגיר היין שבתוכו מזה ומזה. וזכר הכוס בלשון זכר באמרו מלא ויגר והוא בלשון נקבה ברוב:
