1 לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ עַֽל־[יְדוּת֗וּן] (ידיתון) לְאָסָ֥ף מִזְמֽוֹר׃ Au chef des chantres. Sur Iedouthoun. Psaume d’Assaph.

2 קוֹלִ֣י אֶל־אֱלֹהִ֣ים וְאֶצְעָ֑קָה קוֹלִ֥י אֶל־אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים וְהַאֲזִ֥ין אֵלָֽי׃ Ma voix s’élève vers Dieu, et je crie; ma voix s’élève vers Dieu, et il me prête l’oreille.

3 בְּי֥וֹם צָרָתִי֮ אֲדֹנָ֢י דָּ֫רָ֥שְׁתִּי יָדִ֤י ׀ לַ֣יְלָה נִ֭גְּרָה וְלֹ֣א תָפ֑וּג מֵאֲנָ֖ה הִנָּחֵ֣ם נַפְשִֽׁי׃ Au jour de ma détresse, je recherche le Seigneur, de nuit ma main se tend vers lui sans relâche: mon âme refuse toute consolation.

4 אֶזְכְּרָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֣ים וְאֶהֱמָ֑יָה אָשִׂ֓יחָה ׀ וְתִתְעַטֵּ֖ף רוּחִ֣י סֶֽלָה׃ Je pense à Dieu et je gémis, je réfléchis et mon esprit se voile de tristesse. Sélah!

5 אָ֭חַזְתָּ שְׁמֻר֣וֹת עֵינָ֑י נִ֝פְעַ֗מְתִּי וְלֹ֣א אֲדַבֵּֽר׃ Tu tiens mes paupières ouvertes, je suis troublé au point de ne pouvoir parler.

6 חִשַּׁ֣בְתִּי יָמִ֣ים מִקֶּ֑דֶם שְׁ֝נ֗וֹת עוֹלָמִֽים׃ Je médite sur les jours d’un passé lointain, sur les années envolées depuis une éternité.

7 אֶ֥זְכְּרָ֥ה נְגִינָתִ֗י בַּ֫לָּ֥יְלָה עִם־לְבָבִ֥י אָשִׂ֑יחָה וַיְחַפֵּ֥שׂ רוּחִֽי׃ La nuit, je me remémore mes cantiques, je médite en mon cœur, et mon esprit se plonge dans les réflexions:

8 הַֽ֭לְעוֹלָמִים יִזְנַ֥ח ׀ אֲדֹנָ֑י וְלֹא־יֹסִ֖יף לִרְצ֣וֹת עֽוֹד׃ "Le Seigneur délaisse-t-il donc sans retour? Ne rendra-t-il plus sa bienveillance?

9 הֶאָפֵ֣ס לָנֶ֣צַח חַסְדּ֑וֹ גָּ֥מַר אֹ֝֗מֶר לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃ Sa bonté a-t-elle disparu à jamais? Sa promesse est-elle annulée pour la suite des temps?

10 הֲשָׁכַ֣ח חַנּ֣וֹת אֵ֑ל אִם־קָפַ֥ץ בְּ֝אַ֗ף רַחֲמָ֥יו סֶֽלָה׃ Dieu a-t-il désappris la compassion? Ou bien, dans sa colère, enchaîne-t-il sa miséricorde?" Sélah!

11 וָ֭אֹמַר חַלּ֣וֹתִי הִ֑יא שְׁ֝נ֗וֹת יְמִ֣ין עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ Et je me dis: "C’est là ma souffrance, que la main du Très-Haut ait changé [à mon égard ]."

12 (אזכיר) [אֶזְכּ֥וֹר] מַעַלְלֵי־יָ֑הּ כִּֽי־אֶזְכְּרָ֖ה מִקֶּ֣דֶם פִּלְאֶֽךָ׃ J’évoquerai le souvenir des œuvres du Seigneur, oui, le souvenir de tes antiques merveilles.

13 וְהָגִ֥יתִי בְכׇל־פׇּעֳלֶ֑ךָ וּֽבַעֲלִ֖ילוֹתֶ֣יךָ אָשִֽׂיחָה׃ Je méditerai sur tous tes exploits, et passerai en revue tes hauts faits.

14 אֱ֭לֹהִים בַּקֹּ֣דֶשׁ דַּרְכֶּ֑ךָ מִי־אֵ֥ל גָּ֝ד֗וֹל כֵּאלֹהִֽים׃ O Dieu, sublime de sainteté est ta voie; est-il une divinité grande comme Dieu?

15 אַתָּ֣ה הָ֭אֵל עֹ֣שֵׂה פֶ֑לֶא הוֹדַ֖עְתָּ בָעַמִּ֣ים עֻזֶּֽךָ׃ Tu es, toi, l’Etre tout-puissant, auteur de prodiges; tu fais éclater ta force parmi les nations.

16 גָּאַ֣לְתָּ בִּזְר֣וֹעַ עַמֶּ֑ךָ בְּנֵֽי־יַעֲקֹ֖ב וְיוֹסֵ֣ף סֶֽלָה׃ Par ton bras tu affranchis ton peuple, les fils de Jacob et de Joseph. Sélah!

17 רָ֘א֤וּךָ מַּ֨יִם ׀ אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים רָא֣וּךָ מַּ֣יִם יָחִ֑ילוּ אַ֝֗ף יִרְגְּז֥וּ תְהֹמֽוֹת׃ Les flots te virent, ô Dieu; les flots te virent, et ils tremblèrent, les vagues profondes s’émurent de peur.

18 זֹ֤רְמוּ מַ֨יִם ׀ עָב֗וֹת ק֭וֹל נָתְנ֣וּ שְׁחָקִ֑ים אַף־חֲ֝צָצֶ֗יךָ יִתְהַלָּֽכוּ׃ Les nuées se fondirent en pluies torrentielles, les cieux firent retentir leur tonnerre, et tes flèches volèrent de toutes parts.

19 ק֤וֹל רַעַמְךָ֨ ׀ בַּגַּלְגַּ֗ל הֵאִ֣ירוּ בְרָקִ֣ים תֵּבֵ֑ל רָגְזָ֖ה וַתִּרְעַ֣שׁ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Le fracas de ta foudre se mêla au tourbillon, les éclairs illuminèrent le monde, la terre gémit et vacilla.

20 בַּיָּ֤ם דַּרְכֶּ֗ךָ (ושביליך) [וּֽ֭שְׁבִילְךָ] בְּמַ֣יִם רַבִּ֑ים וְ֝עִקְּבוֹתֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א נֹדָֽעוּ׃ Tu frayas ta route à travers la mer, ton sentier à travers des eaux épaisses: tes traces échappèrent aux regards.

21 נָחִ֣יתָ כַצֹּ֣אן עַמֶּ֑ךָ בְּֽיַד־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאַהֲרֹֽן׃ {פ}
Tu conduisis comme un troupeau ton peuple, par la main de Moïse et d’Aaron.

ואומר - אמר רבי משה: חלותי מגזרת אשר חלה ה' בה כמו ענותי ופירוש שנות מגזרת שנת עולם. וזה רחוק בעיני, כי איך תישן הימין שהיא הזרוע.

ואחרים אומרים: כי שנות - כמו השתנות מגזרת שונות מכל עם.

וטעם ימין עליון – שהימין הוא העושה המלחמה. והטעם כי חליתי בעבור ששנתה זרוע, בעבור שלא יראה כחה בגלותינו. ואחרים אומרים: כי חלותי מגזרת רבים יחלו פני נדיב כמו תפלתי, וזאת הגזרה מזה הטעם לא תמצא בכל המקרא, כי אם במלת פני. ולפי דעתי: כי זאת רמז למלת חשבתי כי כן הוא חשבתי מחשבה והיא חלתני והיא מחשבת שנות ימין עליון, כאשר הזכיר שנות עולמים:
