1 לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ אֶל־שֹׁשַׁנִּ֑ים עֵד֖וּת לְאָסָ֣ף מִזְמֽוֹר׃ Au chef des chantres. Sur les Chochanim, Edouth. Psaume d’Assaph.

2 רֹ֘עֵ֤ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל ׀ הַאֲזִ֗ינָה נֹהֵ֣ג כַּצֹּ֣אן יוֹסֵ֑ף יֹשֵׁ֖ב הַכְּרוּבִ֣ים הוֹפִֽיעָה׃ Pasteur d’Israël, prête l’oreille, toi qui mènes Joseph comme un troupeau! Révèle-toi dans ta splendeur, toi qui trônes sur les Chérubins!

3 לִפְנֵ֤י אֶפְרַ֨יִם ׀ וּבִנְיָ֘מִ֤ן וּמְנַשֶּׁ֗ה עוֹרְרָ֥ה אֶת־גְּבוּרָתֶ֑ךָ וּלְכָ֖ה לִישֻׁעָ֣תָה לָּֽנוּ׃ Aux regards d’Ephraïm, Benjamin et Manassé, déploie ta puissance, et marche à notre secours!

4 אֱלֹהִ֥ים הֲשִׁיבֵ֑נוּ וְהָאֵ֥ר פָּ֝נֶ֗יךָ וְנִוָּשֵֽׁעָה׃ O Dieu, régénère-nous, fais luire ta face et nous serons sauvés!

5 יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֣ים צְבָא֑וֹת עַד־מָתַ֥י עָ֝שַׁ֗נְתָּ בִּתְפִלַּ֥ת עַמֶּֽךָ׃ Éternel, Dieu-Cebaot! Jusques à quand accueilleras-tu avec colère la prière de ton peuple?

6 הֶ֭אֱכַלְתָּם לֶ֣חֶם דִּמְעָ֑ה וַ֝תַּשְׁקֵ֗מוֹ בִּדְמָע֥וֹת שָׁלִֽישׁ׃ Tu leur fais manger un pain [trempé] de pleurs, tu les abreuves d’un déluge de larmes.

7 תְּשִׂימֵ֣נוּ מָ֭דוֹן לִשְׁכֵנֵ֑ינוּ וְ֝אֹיְבֵ֗ינוּ יִלְעֲגוּ־לָֽמוֹ׃ Tu fais de nous un brandon de discorde pour nos voisins, et nos ennemis se livrent à leurs moqueries.

8 אֱלֹהִ֣ים צְבָא֣וֹת הֲשִׁיבֵ֑נוּ וְהָאֵ֥ר פָּ֝נֶ֗יךָ וְנִוָּשֵֽׁעָה׃ O Dieu-Cebaot, régénère-nous, fais luire ta face et nous serons sauvés!

9 גֶּ֭פֶן מִמִּצְרַ֣יִם תַּסִּ֑יעַ תְּגָרֵ֥שׁ גּ֝וֹיִ֗ם וַתִּטָּעֶֽהָ׃ Tu as fait émigrer une vigne de l’Égypte, et expulsé des nations pour la replanter.

10 פִּנִּ֥יתָ לְפָנֶ֑יהָ וַתַּשְׁרֵ֥שׁ שׇׁ֝רָשֶׁ֗יהָ וַתְּמַלֵּא־אָֽרֶץ׃ Tu as fait place nette devant elle; aussi elle jeta de profondes racines, et s’étendit sur le pays.

11 כׇּסּ֣וּ הָרִ֣ים צִלָּ֑הּ וַ֝עֲנָפֶ֗יהָ אַֽרְזֵי־אֵֽל׃ Les montagnes furent couvertes de son ombrage, ses branches égalèrent les cèdres de Dieu.

12 תְּשַׁלַּ֣ח קְצִירֶ֣הָ עַד־יָ֑ם וְאֶל־נָ֝הָ֗ר יוֹנְקוֹתֶֽיהָ׃ Elle poussa ses sarments jusqu’à la mer, jusqu’au Fleuve ses rejetons.

13 לָ֭מָּה פָּרַ֣צְתָּ גְדֵרֶ֑יהָ וְ֝אָר֗וּהָ כׇּל־עֹ֥בְרֵי דָֽרֶךְ׃ Pourquoi as-tu démoli ses clôtures, si bien que tous les passants la dépouillent,

14 יְכַרְסְמֶ֣נָּֽה חֲזִ֣יר מִיָּ֑^עַר וְזִ֖יז שָׂדַ֣י יִרְעֶֽנָּה׃ que le sanglier de la forêt la mutile, et qu’elle sert de pâture à ce qui se meut dans les champs?

15 אֱלֹהִ֣ים צְבָאוֹת֮ שֽׁ֫וּב־נָ֥א הַבֵּ֣ט מִשָּׁמַ֣יִם וּרְאֵ֑ה וּ֝פְקֹ֗ד גֶּ֣פֶן זֹֽאת׃ O Dieu-Cébaot! Reviens de grâce! Du haut du Ciel regarde et vois; prends sous ta protection cette vigne,

16 וְ֭כַנָּה אֲשֶׁר־נָטְעָ֣ה יְמִינֶ֑ךָ וְעַל־בֵּ֝֗ן אִמַּ֥צְתָּה לָּֽךְ׃ ces ceps que ta droite a mis en terre, cette plantation que tu avais voulue si vigoureuse.

17 שְׂרֻפָ֣ה בָאֵ֣שׁ כְּסוּחָ֑ה מִגַּעֲרַ֖ת פָּנֶ֣יךָ יֹאבֵֽדוּ׃ La voilà consumée par le feu, mise en pièces: sous la colère menaçante de ta face, tout périt!

18 תְּֽהִי־יָ֭דְךָ עַל־אִ֣ישׁ יְמִינֶ֑ךָ עַל־בֶּן־אָ֝דָ֗ם אִמַּ֥צְתָּ לָּֽךְ׃ Oh! que ta protection s’étende sur l’homme élu par ta droite, sur le fils de l’homme que tu avais rendu fort en ton honneur!

19 וְלֹא־נָס֥וֹג מִמֶּ֑ךָּ תְּ֝חַיֵּ֗נוּ וּבְשִׁמְךָ֥ נִקְרָֽא׃ Nous ne nous éloignerons plus de toi: ranime notre vie, et nous invoquerons ton nom.

20 יְ֘הֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהִ֣ים צְבָא֣וֹת הֲשִׁיבֵ֑נוּ הָאֵ֥ר פָּ֝נֶ֗יךָ וְנִוָּשֵֽׁעָה׃ {פ}

וכנה - הם ישראל, והעד: אמצת לך.

ועוד: אשר נטעה ימינך – כמו ותטעה ותהיה מלת ופקוד מושכת אחרת, אף על פי שהוא בפסוק אחר כמו: כי אמר גר הייתי, עם כי אלהי אבי בעזרי וכן היא: ופקוד כנה.

כנה - תואר לגנה או לגפן שהיא מכוננת. ויש אומרים: כי הכ"ף תחת גימל ולא מצאנו שהתחלפו רק שי"ן בסי"ן ואותיות אהוי.

ויש אומרים: כי בכנה - היה ראוי להיותו על דרך: רבה צבאך. ור' יהודה הלוי מ"כ אמר: כי הנו"ן חסר דגש התחברות שנים נונין, כמו הללוהו מבנין הכבד הדגוש לשון ציווי וככה אמר וכן בן נ"ל אנ"י יא"י המגי"ה, ועל שמלת על לשון ציווי, כמו: אל נא צו את בני ישראל הפך יכרסמנה.
