1 מִזְמ֗וֹר לְאָ֫סָ֥ף אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים נִצָּ֥ב בַּעֲדַת־אֵ֑ל בְּקֶ֖רֶב אֱלֹהִ֣ים יִשְׁפֹּֽט׃ Psaume d’Assaph. Dieu se tient dans l’assemblée divine; au milieu des juges, il juge.

2 עַד־מָתַ֥י תִּשְׁפְּטוּ־עָ֑וֶל וּפְנֵ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים תִּשְׂאוּ־סֶֽלָה׃ Jusqu’à quand jugerez-vous avec iniquité, et prendrez-vous parti pour les méchants? Sélah!

3 שִׁפְטוּ־דַ֥ל וְיָת֑וֹם עָנִ֖י וָרָ֣שׁ הַצְדִּֽיקוּ׃ Rendez justice au faible, à l’orphelin, proclamez le droit du pauvre, du nécessiteux!

4 פַּלְּטוּ־דַ֥ל וְאֶבְי֑וֹן מִיַּ֖ד רְשָׁעִ֣ים הַצִּֽילוּ׃ Assurez le salut du faible, de l’indigent, délivrez-les de la main du méchant!

5 לֹ֤א יָדְע֨וּ ׀ וְלֹ֥א יָבִ֗ינוּ בַּחֲשֵׁכָ֥ה יִתְהַלָּ֑כוּ יִ֝מּ֗וֹטוּ כׇּל־מ֥וֹסְדֵי אָֽרֶץ׃ Ils ne savent ni ne comprennent, ils s’avancent dans les ténèbres: tous les fondements de la terre sont ébranlés.

6 אֲֽנִי־אָ֭מַרְתִּי אֱלֹהִ֣ים אַתֶּ֑ם וּבְנֵ֖י עֶלְי֣וֹן כֻּלְּכֶֽם׃ J’avais dit, moi: "Vous êtes des dieux; tous, des fils du Très-Haut!"

7 אָ֭כֵן כְּאָדָ֣ם תְּמוּת֑וּן וּכְאַחַ֖ד הַשָּׂרִ֣ים תִּפֹּֽלוּ׃ Mais non, vous mourrez comme des hommes, comme l’un des princes vous tomberez!

8 קוּמָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהִים שׇׁפְטָ֣ה הָאָ֑רֶץ כִּֽי־אַתָּ֥ה תִ֝נְחַ֗ל בְּכׇל־הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ {פ}
Lève-toi, ô Dieu, fais passer la terre en jugement, car c’est toi qui es le maître de tous les peuples.

מזמור לאסף אלהים - טעם נצב בעדת אל - הכבוד שהוא עם עדת ישראל.

בקרב אלהים - הם המלאכים שהם האלהים וצבא השמים בני האלהים, כי על ידי המלאכים הם כל משפט אלהים בארץ.

ויש אומרים: כי בקרב אלהים – כמו: אלהים לא תקלל. והטעם: כי הוא בקרבם ויש להם לישמר שלא ישפטו עול.

מזמור. זה המזמור נאמר על השופטים שהיו שופטים בעול אולי היה בימי יהושפט כי ראינו שהעמיד שופטי ארץ בכל ערי יהודה והזהירם מאד עליו כי היו שופטים קודם זה בעול: אמר אלהים נצב בעדת אל. כלומר כבודו עמהם להשגיח יותר משאר דיינים לפקוד עליהם כמעשיהם כמו שכתוב רק אתכם ידעתי מכל משפחות האדמה על כן אפקוד עליכם את כל עונותיכם:
