Psaumes 85:2

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

85

Au chef des chantres. Par les fils de Koré. Psaume.
Tu as rendu, ô Seigneur, ton affection à ton pays, réparé les ruines de Jacob.
Tu as réfréné toute ton indignation, renoncé à ton ardente colère.
Seras-tu à jamais courroucé contre nous? Feras-tu, d’âge en âge, durer ton ressentiment?
Montre-nous, Seigneur, ton amour; et ton secours, accorde-le nous.
14 צֶ֭דֶק לְפָנָ֣יו יְהַלֵּ֑ךְ וְיָשֵׂ֖ם לְדֶ֣רֶךְ פְּעָמָֽיו׃ {פ}

Rashi

English

O Lord, You have appeased Your land, etc. If You have returned the captivity of Jacob and forgiven their iniquity, and have concealed their sin and withdrawn Your wrath from them and retreated from Your fierce anger, then You have appeased Your land, and Your world will be appeased. But as long as You do not do this, Your land and Your world will not be appeased.
