Exode 7:19

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

7

7 וּמֹשֶׁה֙ בֶּן־שְׁמֹנִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וְאַֽהֲרֹ֔ן בֶּן־שָׁלֹ֥שׁ וּשְׁמֹנִ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה בְּדַבְּרָ֖ם אֶל־פַּרְעֹֽה׃ {פ}

16 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו יְהֹוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י הָעִבְרִים֙ שְׁלָחַ֤נִי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר שַׁלַּח֙ אֶת־עַמִּ֔י וְיַֽעַבְדֻ֖נִי בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר וְהִנֵּ֥ה לֹא־שָׁמַ֖עְתָּ עַד־כֹּֽה׃ Et tu lui diras: ‘L’Éternel, Divinité des Hébreux, m’avait délégué vers toi pour te dire: Renvoie mon peuple et qu’il m’adore au désert; or, tu n’as pas obéi jusqu’à présent.

Adonoy said to Moshe, “Say to Aharon, ‘Take your rod and extend your hand over the waters of Egypt—over their rivers, over their canals, over their lakes, and over every place where their water is gathered, and it [the water] will become blood. There will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, [even] in [vessels] of wood and [vessels] of stone.”

And the L-rd said to Moses: Say to Aaron: Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt [(Because the Nile "protected" Moses when he was cast into it (as an infant), it was not smitten through him, but through Aaron for the plagues of blood and frogs)], over their rivers, over their canals, over their standing waters, and over all their gatherings of water, and they shall be blood. And there will be blood in all the land of Egypt [even in the bath-houses and house-tubs] and in [water in] wood and stone [vessels].
