Job 17:16

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

17

Ah!
13 אִם־אֲ֭קַוֶּה שְׁא֣וֹל בֵּיתִ֑י בַּ֝חֹ֗שֶׁךְ רִפַּ֥דְתִּי יְצוּעָֽי׃ Si je n’attends plus d’autre demeure que le Cheol, si j’ai étendu ma couche dans la région des ombres;
Mon espérance, qui peut la voir?

Rashi

The limbs of the grave shall descend Those limbs [of my body] that will ultimately descend to the grave, for indeed they will all rest on the dust.

they rest on the dust Heb. נחת, will lodge, an expression of (Num. 11:26), “the spirit rested (ותנח) upon them.”
