18

4 הָב֥וּ לָכֶ֛ם שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה אֲנָשִׁ֖ים לַשָּׁ֑בֶט וְאֶשְׁלָחֵ֗ם וְיָקֻ֜מוּ וְיִֽתְהַלְּכ֥וּ בָאָ֛רֶץ וְיִכְתְּב֥וּ אוֹתָ֛הּ לְפִ֥י נַחֲלָתָ֖ם וְיָבֹ֥אוּ אֵלָֽי׃ Désignez vous-mêmes trois hommes par tribu, afin que je leur donne mission de parcourir le pays et d’en faire le plan selon les possessions à attribuer; après quoi, ils viendront me trouver.
7 כִּ֠י אֵֽין־חֵ֤לֶק לַלְוִיִּם֙ בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֔ם כִּֽי־כְהֻנַּ֥ת יְהֹוָ֖ה נַחֲלָת֑וֹ וְגָ֡ד וּרְאוּבֵ֡ן וַחֲצִי֩ שֵׁ֨בֶט הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֜ה לָקְח֣וּ נַחֲלָתָ֗ם מֵעֵ֤בֶר לַיַּרְדֵּן֙ מִזְרָ֔חָה אֲשֶׁר֙ נָתַ֣ן לָהֶ֔ם מֹשֶׁ֖ה עֶ֥בֶד יְהֹוָֽה׃ Car, pour ce qui est des Lévites, ils n’ont point de part au milieu de vous, le ministère de l’Éternel étant leur apanage; quant à Gad, à Ruben et à la demi-tribu de Manassé, ils ont reçu leur patrimoine sur la rive orientale du Jourdain, telle que Moïse, serviteur de l’Éternel, le leur a attribué."
10 וַיַּשְׁלֵךְ֩ לָהֶ֨ם יְהוֹשֻׁ֧עַ גּוֹרָ֛ל בְּשִׁלֹ֖ה לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וַיְחַלֶּק־שָׁ֨ם יְהוֹשֻׁ֧עַ אֶת־הָאָ֛רֶץ לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כְּמַחְלְקֹתָֽם׃ {פ}
15 וּפְאַת־נֶ֕גְבָּה מִקְצֵ֖ה קִרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֑ים וְיָצָ֤א הַגְּבוּל֙ יָ֔מָּה וְיָצָ֕א אֶל־מַעְיַ֖ן מֵ֥י נֶפְתּֽוֹחַ׃ Le côté du midi partait de l’extrémité de Kiryath-Yearîm, et continuait dans la direction de la mer et atteignait la source de Mê-Nephtoah;

17 וְתָאַ֣ר מִצָּפ֗וֹן וְיָצָא֙ עֵ֣ין שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ וְיָצָא֙ אֶל־גְּלִיל֔וֹת אֲשֶׁר־נֹ֖כַח מַעֲלֵ֣ה אֲדֻמִּ֑ים וְיָרַ֕ד אֶ֥בֶן בֹּ֖הַן בֶּן־רְאוּבֵֽן׃ tournait au nord vers En-Chémech, de là vers Gheliloth, en face de la montée d’Adoummim, et descendait vers la Pierre de Bohân-ben-Ruben;
18 וְעָבַ֛ר אֶל־כֶּ֥תֶף מוּל־הָעֲרָבָ֖ה צָפ֑וֹנָה וְיָרַ֖ד הָעֲרָבָֽתָה׃ se poursuivait vers le côté nord de la Plaine, et atteignait Araba;

Commentaires sur Josué 18:1

Rashi

English

And there they made a dwelling place for the Tent of Meeting. [This refers to the Tent of Meeting] that they had constructed in the wilderness. It did not have a roof, but it was a stone structure on the bottom and was covered with curtains above. remained at Gilgal. They had been too occupied with conquering and dividing the land to establish a permanent dwelling place for the Tent of Meeting. Once they began settling in the land, they established a House of God. The walls of the House were made of stone, and instead of a roof it was covered with curtains of cloth and skins, as it had been when it was constructed in the wilderness. This we learned in Maseches Zevachim.

And the land had been conquered before them. Once the Mishkon was established, it became easier for them to conquer the land. they would be blessed with continued victory in the remaining battles of conquest.
