1 וְאִם־זֶ֥בַח שְׁלָמִ֖ים קׇרְבָּנ֑וֹ אִ֤ם מִן־הַבָּקָר֙ ה֣וּא מַקְרִ֔יב אִם־זָכָר֙ אִם־נְקֵבָ֔ה תָּמִ֥ים יַקְרִיבֶ֖נּוּ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ Son offrande est-elle un sacrifice rémunératoire: s’il la tire du gros bétail, que ce soit un mâle ou une femelle, il doit la présenter sans défaut devant le Seigneur.

2 וְסָמַ֤ךְ יָדוֹ֙ עַל־רֹ֣אשׁ קׇרְבָּנ֔וֹ וּשְׁחָט֕וֹ פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְזָרְק֡וּ בְּנֵי֩ אַהֲרֹ֨ן הַכֹּהֲנִ֧ים אֶת־הַדָּ֛ם עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ סָבִֽיב׃ Il appuiera sa main sur la tête de sa victime, qu’on immolera à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation; puis les fils d’Aaron, les pontifes, aspergeront de son sang le tour de l’autel.

3 וְהִקְרִיב֙ מִזֶּ֣בַח הַשְּׁלָמִ֔ים אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהֹוָ֑ה אֶת־הַחֵ֙לֶב֙ הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה אֶת־הַקֶּ֔רֶב וְאֵת֙ כׇּל־הַחֵ֔לֶב אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַקֶּֽרֶב׃ On présentera, de cette victime rémunératoire, comme combustion au Seigneur, la graisse qui recouvre les intestins, toute la graisse qui y adhère;

4 וְאֵת֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י הַכְּלָיֹ֔ת וְאֶת־הַחֵ֙לֶב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עֲלֵהֶ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַכְּסָלִ֑ים וְאֶת־הַיֹּתֶ֙רֶת֙ עַל־הַכָּבֵ֔ד עַל־הַכְּלָי֖וֹת יְסִירֶֽנָּה׃ les deux rognons avec la graisse qui y adhère du côté des flancs, puis la membrane qui tient au foie et qu’on ôtera avec les rognons.

5 וְהִקְטִ֨ירוּ אֹת֤וֹ בְנֵֽי־אַהֲרֹן֙ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה עַל־הָ֣עֹלָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הָעֵצִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־הָאֵ֑שׁ אִשֵּׁ֛ה רֵ֥יחַ נִיחֹ֖חַ לַֽיהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
Et les fils d’Aaron feront fumer ces graisses sur l’autel, près de l’holocauste déjà placé sur le bois du brasier: combustion d’une odeur agréable au Seigneur.

6 וְאִם־מִן־הַצֹּ֧אן קׇרְבָּנ֛וֹ לְזֶ֥בַח שְׁלָמִ֖ים לַיהֹוָ֑ה זָכָר֙ א֣וֹ נְקֵבָ֔ה תָּמִ֖ים יַקְרִיבֶֽנּוּ׃ Si c’est du menu bétail qu’il veut offrir un sacrifice rémunératoire au Seigneur, il l’offrira mâle ou femelle, sans défaut.

7 אִם־כֶּ֥שֶׂב הֽוּא־מַקְרִ֖יב אֶת־קׇרְבָּנ֑וֹ וְהִקְרִ֥יב אֹת֖וֹ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ Son offrande consiste-t-elle en une brebis, il la présentera devant le Seigneur,

8 וְסָמַ֤ךְ אֶת־יָדוֹ֙ עַל־רֹ֣אשׁ קׇרְבָּנ֔וֹ וְשָׁחַ֣ט אֹת֔וֹ לִפְנֵ֖י אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְ֠זָרְק֠וּ בְּנֵ֨י אַהֲרֹ֧ן אֶת־דָּמ֛וֹ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ סָבִֽיב׃ appuiera sa main sur la tête de sa victime et l’immolera devant la Tente d’assignation; puis les fils d’Aaron aspergeront de son sang le tour de l’autel.

9 וְהִקְרִ֨יב מִזֶּ֣בַח הַשְּׁלָמִים֮ אִשֶּׁ֣ה לַיהֹוָה֒ חֶלְבּוֹ֙ הָאַלְיָ֣ה תְמִימָ֔ה לְעֻמַּ֥ת הֶעָצֶ֖ה יְסִירֶ֑נָּה וְאֶת־הַחֵ֙לֶב֙ הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה אֶת־הַקֶּ֔רֶב וְאֵת֙ כׇּל־הַחֵ֔לֶב אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַקֶּֽרֶב׃ On présentera, de cette victime rémunératoire, comme combustion au Seigneur, le morceau de choix: la queue, qu’on enlèvera tout entière à l’a hauteur de la vertèbre; puis la graisse qui recouvre les intestins, toute la graisse qui y adhère,

10 וְאֵת֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י הַכְּלָיֹ֔ת וְאֶת־הַחֵ֙לֶב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עֲלֵהֶ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַכְּסָלִ֑ים וְאֶת־הַיֹּתֶ֙רֶת֙ עַל־הַכָּבֵ֔ד עַל־הַכְּלָיֹ֖ת יְסִירֶֽנָּה׃ les deux rognons avec la graisse qui y adhère du côté des flancs, puis la membrane du foie, qu’on ôtera avec les rognons.

11 וְהִקְטִיר֥וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֖ן הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה לֶ֥חֶם אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
Et le pontife les fera fumer sur l’autel, comme aliment de combustion en l’honneur du Seigneur.

12 וְאִ֥ם עֵ֖ז קׇרְבָּנ֑וֹ וְהִקְרִיב֖וֹ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ Que si son offrande est une chèvre, il la présentera devant le Seigneur,

13 וְסָמַ֤ךְ אֶת־יָדוֹ֙ עַל־רֹאשׁ֔וֹ וְשָׁחַ֣ט אֹת֔וֹ לִפְנֵ֖י אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְ֠זָרְק֠וּ בְּנֵ֨י אַהֲרֹ֧ן אֶת־דָּמ֛וֹ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ סָבִֽיב׃ appuiera sa main sur la tête de l’animal et l’immolera devant la Tente d’assignation; puis les fils d’Aaron aspergeront de son sang le tour de l’autel.

14 וְהִקְרִ֤יב מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ קׇרְבָּנ֔וֹ אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה אֶת־הַחֵ֙לֶב֙ הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה אֶת־הַקֶּ֔רֶב וְאֵת֙ כׇּל־הַחֵ֔לֶב אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַקֶּֽרֶב׃ Il en prélèvera la partie à offrir, comme combustion en l’honneur du Seigneur: la graisse qui recouvre les intestins, toute la graisse qui y adhère;

15 וְאֵת֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י הַכְּלָיֹ֔ת וְאֶת־הַחֵ֙לֶב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עֲלֵהֶ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַכְּסָלִ֑ים וְאֶת־הַיֹּתֶ֙רֶת֙ עַל־הַכָּבֵ֔ד עַל־הַכְּלָיֹ֖ת יְסִירֶֽנָּה׃ les deux rognons avec leur graisse du côté des flancs, et la membrane du foie, qu’il retirera avec les rognons.

16 וְהִקְטִירָ֥ם הַכֹּהֵ֖ן הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה לֶ֤חֶם אִשֶּׁה֙ לְרֵ֣יחַ נִיחֹ֔חַ כׇּל־חֵ֖לֶב לַיהֹוָֽה׃ Le pontife les fera fumer sur l’autel: c’est un aliment de combustion dont le parfum sera agréé, toute graisse étant pour le Seigneur.

17 חֻקַּ֤ת עוֹלָם֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכֹ֖ל מוֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם כׇּל־חֵ֥לֶב וְכׇל־דָּ֖ם לֹ֥א תֹאכֵֽלוּ׃ {פ}
Loi perpétuelle pour vos générations, dans toutes vos demeures: toute graisse et tout sang, vous vous abstiendrez d’en manger."

AND AARON’S SONS SHALL CAUSE IT TO ASCEND IN FUMES. This is like His saying further on, And the priest shall cause them to ascend in fumes, for there He alludes to all those portions of the offering which are burnt on the altar, [hence He refers to them in the plural, while here He alludes to the offering as such, and therefore He speaks of it in the singular]. The interpretation [of the Rabbis] on it is as follows: 14:10. “And Aaron’s sons shall cause it to ascend. And the priest shall cause it to ascend. And the priest shall cause them to ascend. Why are all these verses mentioned? And Aaron’s sons shall cause it to ascend — only if the offering is acceptable, but not if it has become disqualified. And the priest shall cause it to ascend — [this teaches] that he should not mix the fats of one offering with those of another [even though they are both of the flock]. And the priest shall cause them to ascend — [this teaches] that he should burn them all at one time.”
