6 אַל־תּ֥וֹסְףְּ עַל־דְּבָרָ֑יו פֶּן־יוֹכִ֖יחַ בְּךָ֣ וְנִכְזָֽבְתָּ׃ {פ}
8 שָׁ֤וְא ׀ וּֽדְבַר־כָּזָ֡ב הַרְחֵ֬ק מִמֶּ֗נִּי רֵ֣אשׁ וָ֭עֹשֶׁר אַל־תִּֽתֶּן־לִ֑י הַ֝טְרִיפֵ֗נִי לֶ֣חֶם חֻקִּֽי׃ Éloigne de moi la fausseté et la parole mensongère, ne me donne ni pauvreté ni richesse; accorde-moi la part de nourriture qui m’est indispensable;

14 דּ֤וֹר ׀ חֲרָב֣וֹת שִׁנָּיו֮ וּֽמַאֲכָל֢וֹת מְֽתַלְּעֹ֫תָ֥יו לֶאֱכֹ֣ל עֲנִיִּ֣ים מֵאֶ֑רֶץ וְ֝אֶבְיוֹנִ֗ים מֵאָדָֽם׃ {פ}
17 עַ֤יִן ׀ תִּ֥לְעַ֣ג לְאָב֮ וְתָבֻ֢ז לִֽיקְּהַ֫ת־אֵ֥ם יִקְּר֥וּהָ עֹֽרְבֵי־נַ֑חַל וְֽיֹאכְל֥וּהָ בְנֵי־נָֽשֶׁר׃ {פ}
20 כֵּ֤ן ׀ דֶּ֥רֶךְ אִשָּׁ֗ה מְנָ֫אָ֥פֶת אָ֭כְלָה וּמָ֣חֲתָה פִ֑יהָ וְ֝אָמְרָ֗ה לֹא־פָעַ֥לְתִּי אָֽוֶן׃ {פ}
23 תַּ֣חַת שְׂ֭נוּאָה כִּ֣י תִבָּעֵ֑ל וְ֝שִׁפְחָ֗ה כִּֽי־תִירַ֥שׁ גְּבִרְתָּֽהּ׃ {פ}
25 הַ֭נְּמָלִים עַ֣ם לֹא־עָ֑ז וַיָּכִ֖ינוּ בַקַּ֣יִץ לַחְמָֽם׃ les fourmis, peuple sans force, font en été leurs provisions;
26 שְׁ֭פַנִּים עַ֣ם לֹא־עָצ֑וּם וַיָּשִׂ֖ימוּ בַסֶּ֣לַע בֵּיתָֽם׃ les gerboises, peuple sans puissance, établissent leur demeure dans les rochers;
27 מֶ֭לֶךְ אֵ֣ין לָאַרְבֶּ֑ה וַיֵּצֵ֖א חֹצֵ֣ץ כֻּלּֽוֹ׃ les sauterelles n’ont pas de roi et elles se mettent toutes en campagne par bandes;
28 שְׂ֭מָמִית בְּיָדַ֣יִם תְּתַפֵּ֑שׂ וְ֝הִ֗יא בְּהֵ֣יכְלֵי מֶֽלֶךְ׃ {פ}
30 לַ֭יִשׁ גִּבּ֣וֹר בַּבְּהֵמָ֑ה וְלֹא־יָ֝שׁ֗וּב מִפְּנֵי־כֹֽל׃ le lion, le plus fort des animaux, qui ne recule devant rien;
33 כִּ֤י מִ֪יץ חָלָ֡ב י֘וֹצִ֤יא חֶמְאָ֗ה וּֽמִיץ־אַ֭ף י֣וֹצִיא דָ֑ם וּמִ֥יץ אַ֝פַּ֗יִם י֣וֹצִיא רִֽיב׃ {פ}

Who [like Moses] ascended to heaven and descended? Who [like Moses] gathered wind [(the furnace-soot) viz. Exodus 9:8-10] in his hand? Who tied the waters in a cloak? [viz. Exodus 15:8]. Who raised [the mishkan, whereby there were founded] all the ends of the earth? [If you would contend that there was someone like Moses,] what is his name what is his son's name? [(How, then, did you not fear to transgress his words?)]

Rashi

English

Who ascended to heaven like Moses?

Who gathered wind The soot of the furnace.

Who wrapped the waters (Ex. 15:8): “The depths were congealed”; (ad loc.): “The floods stood upright like a heap,” through Moses’s prayer.

Who established the Tabernacle, through whose establishment all the ends of the earth were firmly established. In this way, it is expounded in the Pesikta.

What is his name and what is the name of his son If you say that there already was one like him, tell me what his son’s name is; i.e., what family is descended from him, and we will know who he is.

if you know if you know who he is. Now how did you not fear to transgress His words?

Ibn Ezra

English

Who is it who ascended to heaven and descended? — that is to say, that he has power to go up to the high heavens and descend to earth which is of a depth I do not know with all my wisdom.

With his palms — that the listener understand that his palms and his hands are his will or his cunning, that is to say that he would gather the wind that it not blow out.

Who bundled the waters — as if he bundled them in clouds, which are like a cloak, to rain down on the land.

All the earth's ceasings — that they not fail, and the ceasings are the ends which stand upon the void.

What is his name and what is his son's name — that he know it in his wisdom.

For you know — you, Itiel, a man or his son, tell me one name of theirs that you know. And the meaning: he cannot know it, and no creations know His wisdom.
