111

1 הַ֥לְלוּ־יָ֨הּ ׀ אוֹדֶ֣ה יְ֭הֹוָה בְּכׇל־לֵבָ֑ב בְּס֖וֹד יְשָׁרִ֣ים וְעֵדָֽה׃ Alléluia! Je louerai l’Éternel de tout mon cœur, dans le cercle des justes, dans l’assemblée.

2 גְּ֭דֹלִים מַעֲשֵׂ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה דְּ֝רוּשִׁ֗ים לְכׇל־חֶפְצֵיהֶֽם׃ Grandes sont les œuvres de l’Éternel, digne objet d’études pour tous ceux qui s’y complaisent.

3 הוֹד־וְהָדָ֥ר פׇּעֳל֑וֹ וְ֝צִדְקָת֗וֹ עֹמֶ֥דֶת לָעַֽד׃ Majesté et splendeur, telle est son action, sa justice subsiste à jamais.

4 זֵ֣כֶר עָ֭שָׂה לְנִפְלְאוֹתָ֑יו חַנּ֖וּן וְרַח֣וּם יְהֹוָֽה׃ Il a perpétué le souvenir de ses merveilles, le Seigneur est clément et miséricordieux.

5 טֶ֭רֶף נָתַ֣ן לִירֵאָ֑יו יִזְכֹּ֖ר לְעוֹלָ֣ם בְּרִיתֽוֹ׃ Il pourvoit à la nourriture de ceux qui le révèrent, se souvient éternellement de son alliance.

6 כֹּ֣חַ מַ֭עֲשָׂיו הִגִּ֣יד לְעַמּ֑וֹ לָתֵ֥ת לָ֝הֶ֗ם נַחֲלַ֥ת גּוֹיִֽם׃ La puissance de ses hauts faits, il l’a révélée à son peuple, en lui donnant l’héritage des nations.

7 מַעֲשֵׂ֣י יָ֭דָיו אֱמֶ֣ת וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט נֶ֝אֱמָנִ֗ים כׇּל־פִּקּוּדָֽיו׃ Les œuvres de ses mains sont vérité et justice, tous ses préceptes sont infaillibles.

8 סְמוּכִ֣ים לָעַ֣ד לְעוֹלָ֑ם עֲ֝שׂוּיִ֗ם בֶּאֱמֶ֥ת וְיָשָֽׁר׃ Ils sont inébranlables pour toute l’éternité, marqués au coin de la vérité et de la droiture.

9 פְּד֤וּת ׀ שָׁ֘לַ֤ח לְעַמּ֗וֹ צִוָּֽה־לְעוֹלָ֥ם בְּרִית֑וֹ קָד֖וֹשׁ וְנוֹרָ֣א שְׁמֽוֹ׃ Il envoya la délivrance à son peuple, promulgua pour toujours son alliance; son nom est saint et redoutable.

10 רֵ֘אשִׁ֤ית חׇכְמָ֨ה ׀ יִרְאַ֬ת יְהֹוָ֗ה שֵׂ֣כֶל ט֭וֹב לְכׇל־עֹֽשֵׂיהֶ֑ם תְּ֝הִלָּת֗וֹ עֹמֶ֥דֶת לָעַֽד׃ {פ}
Le principe de la sagesse, c’est la crainte de l’Éternel, gage de précieuse bienveillance pour ceux qui s’en inspirent. Sa gloire subsiste à jamais.

Steadfast are His commandments, supported by might, strengthened with punishments and warnings, and the chapters are set one next to the other in sequence and to expound on them. This is what Solomon said (Song 5:15): “His thighs are pillars of marble, etc.”
