Psaumes 17:9

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

17

Je t’appelle, car tu me réponds, ô Dieu! Prête-moi l’oreille, entends mes paroles.
9 מִפְּנֵ֣י רְ֭שָׁעִים ז֣וּ שַׁדּ֑וּנִי אֹיְבַ֥י בְּ֝נֶ֗פֶשׁ יַקִּ֥יפוּ עָלָֽי׃ contre les méchants qui me tyrannisent, contre mes ennemis qui me cernent avec passion.
15 אֲנִ֗י בְּ֭צֶדֶק אֶחֱזֶ֣ה פָנֶ֑יךָ אֶשְׂבְּעָ֥ה בְ֝הָקִ֗יץ תְּמוּנָתֶֽךָ׃ {פ}

Radak (David Kimhi)

English

From the wicked that spoil me: – Keep me from the enemies who spoil me. The word זוּ is in meaning the same as אשר; and so (we find): “He against whom (זוּ) we have sinned” (Isaiah 42:24).

My soul's enemies that compass me about: – Keep me from my enemies who encompass and surround me against my soul, meaning, “to take my life.”
