1 לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David.

2 יְֽהֹוָ֗ה בְּעׇזְּךָ֥ יִשְׂמַח־מֶ֑לֶךְ וּ֝בִישׁ֥וּעָתְךָ֗ מַה־[יָּ֥גֶל] (יגיל) מְאֹֽד׃ Seigneur, le roi se réjouit de ta puissance; par ton secours, comme éclate son allégresse!

3 תַּאֲוַ֣ת לִ֭בּוֹ נָתַ֣תָּה לּ֑וֹ וַאֲרֶ֥שֶׁת שְׂ֝פָתָ֗יו בַּל־מָנַ֥עְתָּ סֶּֽלָה׃ Tu lui as accordé le désir de son cœur; le souhait sorti de ses lèvres, tu ne l’as pas repoussé.

4 כִּֽי־תְ֭קַדְּמֶנּוּ בִּרְכ֣וֹת ט֑וֹב תָּשִׁ֥ית לְ֝רֹאשׁ֗וֹ עֲטֶ֣רֶת פָּֽז׃ Oui, tu es venu à lui avec des bénédictions de bonheur, tu as posé sur sa tête une couronne d’or fin.

5 חַיִּ֤ים ׀ שָׁאַ֣ל מִ֭מְּךָ נָתַ֣תָּה לּ֑וֹ אֹ֥רֶךְ יָ֝מִ֗ים עוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ Il t’a demandé le don de la vie: tu le lui as octroyé; ce sont de longs jours se suivant sans fin.

6 גָּד֣וֹל כְּ֭בוֹדוֹ בִּישׁוּעָתֶ֑ךָ ה֥וֹד וְ֝הָדָ֗ר תְּשַׁוֶּ֥ה עָלָֽיו׃ Grande est sa gloire, grâce à ton appui; tu lui as prodigué splendeur et magnificence.

7 כִּֽי־תְשִׁיתֵ֣הוּ בְרָכ֣וֹת לָעַ֑ד תְּחַדֵּ֥הוּ בְ֝שִׂמְחָ֗ה אֶת־פָּנֶֽיךָ׃ Oui, tu as fait de lui à jamais une source de bénédictions; par ta présence, tu l’as mis au comble de la joie.

8 כִּֽי־הַ֭מֶּלֶךְ בֹּטֵ֣חַ בַּיהֹוָ֑ה וּבְחֶ֥סֶד עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן בַּל־יִמּֽוֹט׃ C’est que le roi a confiance en l’Éternel, et, par la bienveillance du Très-Haut, il ne chancelle pas.

9 תִּמְצָ֣א יָ֭דְךָ לְכׇל־אֹיְבֶ֑יךָ יְ֝מִֽינְךָ֗ תִּמְצָ֥א שֹׂנְאֶֽיךָ׃ Ta main atteindra tous tes ennemis, ta droite atteindra ceux qui te haïssent.

10 תְּשִׁיתֵ֤מוֹ ׀ כְּתַנּ֥וּר אֵשׁ֮ לְעֵ֢ת פָּ֫נֶ֥יךָ יְ֭הֹוָה בְּאַפּ֣וֹ יְבַלְּעֵ֑ם וְֽתֹאכְלֵ֥ם אֵֽשׁ׃ A l’heure de ta colère, tu les traiteras tel un four ardent; l’Éternel les anéantira dans son courroux, et le feu les dévorera.

11 פִּ֭רְיָמוֹ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ תְּאַבֵּ֑ד וְ֝זַרְעָ֗ם מִבְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ Tu feras disparaître leurs rejetons de la terre, et leur postérité du milieu des hommes.

12 כִּי־נָט֣וּ עָלֶ֣יךָ רָעָ֑ה חָֽשְׁב֥וּ מְ֝זִמָּ֗ה בַּל־יוּכָֽלוּ׃ Car ils ont machiné le mal contre toi, ils ont conçu des desseins perfides, mais ont été frappés d’impuissance.

13 כִּ֭י תְּשִׁיתֵ֣מוֹ שֶׁ֑כֶם בְּ֝מֵֽיתָרֶ֗יךָ תְּכוֹנֵ֥ן עַל־פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ Certes, tu les réduiras à tourner le dos: avec les cordes de ton arc tu viseras leur face.

14 ר֣וּמָה יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּעֻזֶּ֑ךָ נָשִׁ֥ירָה וּֽ֝נְזַמְּרָ֗ה גְּבוּרָתֶֽךָ׃ {פ}
Lève-toi, ô Seigneur, dans ta force; nous chanterons, nous célébrerons ta puissance.

תשיתמו כתנור אש כמו תנור שיש בתוכו אש ועצים, והאש תאכל העצים, כן תשית אתה אותם

לעת פניך לעת כעסך עליהם, שיכלו כלם ויהיו כתנור אש שכלה מה שבתוכו. ועל הדרך הזה: שיתמו כגלגל כקש לפני רוח, כאש תבער יער וכלהבה תלהט הרים (תהלים פג יד טו), שאינו אומר שהם יהיו אש לבער אחרים, אלא שיהיו כאש שתצא ביער שיכלו וישרפו כל עצי היער כן יכלו הם; וכן ככיור אש בעצים (זכריה יב ו). ופניך כמו ופניה לא היו לה עוד (שמואל א א יח); פני יי' חלקם (איכה ד טז); ופרושם: כעס.
