1 שִׁ֣ירוּ לַ֭יהֹוָה שִׁ֣יר חָדָ֑שׁ שִׁ֥ירוּ לַ֝יהֹוָ֗ה כׇּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Chantez à l’Éternel un cantique nouveau, chantez à l’Éternel, toute la terre!

2 שִׁ֣ירוּ לַ֭יהֹוָה בָּרְכ֣וּ שְׁמ֑וֹ בַּשְּׂר֥וּ מִיּֽוֹם־לְ֝י֗וֹם יְשׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃ Chantez à l’Éternel, bénissez son nom, publiez de jour en jour l’annonce de son secours.

3 סַפְּר֣וּ בַגּוֹיִ֣ם כְּבוֹד֑וֹ בְּכׇל־הָ֝עַמִּ֗ים נִפְלְאוֹתָֽיו׃ Proclamez parmi les peuples sa gloire, parmi toutes les nations, ses merveilles.

4 כִּ֥י־גָ֘ד֤וֹל יְהֹוָ֣ה וּמְהֻלָּ֣ל מְאֹ֑ד נוֹרָ֥א ה֝֗וּא עַל־כׇּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Car grand est l’Éternel et infiniment digne de louanges. Il est redoutable plus que toutes les divinités.

5 כִּ֤י ׀ כׇּל־אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָעַמִּ֣ים אֱלִילִ֑ים וַ֝יהֹוָ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם עָשָֽׂה׃ Car tous les dieux des nations sont de vaines idoles; mais l’Éternel est l’auteur des cieux.

6 הוֹד־וְהָדָ֥ר לְפָנָ֑יו עֹ֥ז וְ֝תִפְאֶ֗רֶת בְּמִקְדָּשֽׁוֹ׃ Majesté et splendeur forment son avant-garde, force et magnificence emplissent son sanctuaire.

7 הָב֣וּ לַ֭יהֹוָה מִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת עַמִּ֑ים הָב֥וּ לַ֝יהֹוָ֗ה כָּב֥וֹד וָעֹֽז׃ Célébrez l’Éternel, groupes de nations, célébrez sa gloire et sa puissance.

8 הָב֣וּ לַ֭יהֹוָה כְּב֣וֹד שְׁמ֑וֹ שְׂאֽוּ־מִ֝נְחָ֗ה וּבֹ֥אוּ לְחַצְרוֹתָֽיו׃ Rendez hommage au nom glorieux de l’Éternel, apportez des offrandes et venez en ses parvis.

9 הִשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ לַ֭יהֹוָה בְּהַדְרַת־קֹ֑דֶשׁ חִ֥ילוּ מִ֝פָּנָ֗יו כׇּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Prosternez-vous devant l’Éternel en un saint apparat, que toute la terre tremble devant lui!

10 אִמְר֤וּ בַגּוֹיִ֨ם ׀ יְ֘הֹוָ֤ה מָלָ֗ךְ אַף־תִּכּ֣וֹן תֵּ֭בֵל בַּל־תִּמּ֑וֹט יָדִ֥ין עַ֝מִּ֗ים בְּמֵישָׁרִֽים׃ Dites parmi les peuples: "L’Éternel est roi!" [Grâce à lui], l’univers est stable et ne vacille point; il juge les nations avec droiture.

11 יִשְׂמְח֣וּ הַ֭שָּׁמַיִם וְתָגֵ֣ל הָאָ֑רֶץ יִֽרְעַ֥ם הַ֝יָּ֗ם וּמְלֹאֽוֹ׃ Que les cieux se réjouissent, que la terre soit dans l’allégresse, que la mer gronde avec ce qu’elle contient!

12 יַעֲלֹ֣ז שָׂ֭דַי וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר־בּ֑וֹ אָ֥ז יְ֝רַנְּנ֗וּ כׇּל־עֲצֵי־יָֽעַר׃ Que les champs éclatent en transports avec tout ce qui les couvre! Qu’en même temps tous les arbres de la forêt résonnent joyeusement,

13 לִפְנֵ֤י יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ כִּ֬י בָ֗א כִּ֥י בָא֮ לִשְׁפֹּ֢ט הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ יִשְׁפֹּֽט־תֵּבֵ֥ל בְּצֶ֑דֶק וְ֝עַמִּ֗ים בֶּאֱמוּנָתֽוֹ׃ {פ}
à l’approche de l’Éternel! Car il vient, il vient pour juger la terre; il va juger le monde avec équité et les nations avec son intégrité.
