until one stone was hewn that one stone was cut and separated.
without hands not with hands, but by itself.
and it struck the image [as translated,] and it struck the image.
and crumbled them [as translated,] and crumbled them.

[Daniel 2:34] Chazeh havaita... hitg'zeret even di la viyadayin (חָזֵה הֲוַיְתָ עַד דִּי הִתְגְּזֶרֶת אֶבֶן דִּי־לָא בִידַיִן - As you looked, a stone was hewn out, but not by hands): Was hewn out (hitg'zeret - הִתְגְּזֶרֶת): [From the root meaning 'to cut'], like “To Him who divided (l'gozer - לְגֹזֵר) the Sea of Reeds into parts (ligzarim - לִגְזָרִים)” [Psalms 136:13]. [And like] “I said... ‘I am cut off (nigzarti - נִגְזַרְתִּי)’” [Lamentations 3:54].
[Daniel 2:34] Umchat l'tzalma (וּמְחָת לְצַלְמָא - And struck the statue): [Means] And it struck (v'hikk'tah) the statue (ba-tzelem).
