that they will mingle with the seed of men They will intermarry with the other nations but they will not be at peace and truly cleave to them wholeheartedly, and their laws will differ from the laws of the other nations.
as iron does not mix with clay Is it not just as iron does not stick well to clay?

English
[Daniel 2:43] di chazaita (דִּי חֲזַיְתָ - Whereas you saw): The meaning of “they shall intermingle” (mitʿarvin - מִתְעָרְבִין) is that all of them [the various peoples within the kingdom] take daughters of [other] nations [i.e., intermarry]. For example, the Persians take Babylonian women, and the Sabaeans take Egyptian women. Yet they [these diverse groups] are not similar one to another in their physical form/makeup (matkunetam - מַתְכֻּנְתָּם), in their clothing, their food, or their customs. Furthermore, there is division/disagreement in their religion/law (toratam - תּוֹרָתָם). This is even more so concerning the sons of Ham [peoples associated with Africa] who are toward the southwest, across the sea [the Mediterranean Sea], and are adjacent to the Great Sea which is called Oceanus [the Atlantic Ocean].
