Isaïe 58:11

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

58

2 וְאוֹתִ֗י י֥וֹם יוֹם֙ יִדְרֹשׁ֔וּן וְדַ֥עַת דְּרָכַ֖י יֶחְפָּצ֑וּן כְּג֞וֹי אֲשֶׁר־צְדָקָ֣ה עָשָׂ֗ה וּמִשְׁפַּ֤ט אֱלֹהָיו֙ לֹ֣א עָזָ֔ב יִשְׁאָל֙וּנִי֙ מִשְׁפְּטֵי־צֶ֔דֶק קִרְבַ֥ת אֱלֹהִ֖ים יֶחְפָּצֽוּן׃ Jour par jour ils s’adressent à moi et manifestent le désir de connaître mes voies; à la façon d’un peuple pratiquant la justice, qui n’aurait jamais trahi la loi de son Dieu, ils me demandent des règles de justice, ils sollicitent la présence de Dieu.
6 הֲל֣וֹא זֶה֮ צ֣וֹם אֶבְחָרֵ֒הוּ֒ פַּתֵּ֙חַ֙ חַרְצֻבּ֣וֹת רֶ֔שַׁע הַתֵּ֖ר אֲגֻדּ֣וֹת מוֹטָ֑ה וְשַׁלַּ֤ח רְצוּצִים֙ חׇפְשִׁ֔ים וְכׇל־מוֹטָ֖ה תְּנַתֵּֽקוּ׃ Mais voici le jeûne que j’aime: c’est de rompre les chaînes de l’injustice, de dénouer les liens de tous les jougs, de renvoyer libres ceux qu’on opprime, de briser enfin toute servitude;
9 אָ֤ז תִּקְרָא֙ וַיהֹוָ֣ה יַעֲנֶ֔ה תְּשַׁוַּ֖ע וְיֹאמַ֣ר הִנֵּ֑נִי אִם־תָּסִ֤יר מִתּֽוֹכְךָ֙ מוֹטָ֔ה שְׁלַ֥ח אֶצְבַּ֖ע וְדַבֶּר־אָֽוֶן׃ Alors tu appelleras et le Seigneur répondra, tu supplieras et il dira: "Me voici!"
12 וּבָנ֤וּ מִמְּךָ֙ חׇרְב֣וֹת עוֹלָ֔ם מוֹסְדֵ֥י דוֹר־וָד֖וֹר תְּקוֹמֵ֑ם וְקֹרָ֤א לְךָ֙ גֹּדֵ֣ר פֶּ֔רֶץ מְשֹׁבֵ֥ב נְתִיב֖וֹת לָשָֽׁבֶת׃ On restaurera, grâce à toi, les ruines antiques, tu relèveras des fondations qui datent des siècles passés, et tu seras proclamé le réparateur des brèches, le restaurateur des routes désormais populeuses.
14 אָ֗ז תִּתְעַנַּג֙ עַל־יְהֹוָ֔ה וְהִרְכַּבְתִּ֖יךָ עַל־[בָּ֣מֳתֵי] (במותי) אָ֑רֶץ וְהַאֲכַלְתִּ֗יךָ נַחֲלַת֙ יַעֲקֹ֣ב אָבִ֔יךָ כִּ֛י פִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה דִּבֵּֽר׃ {פ}

And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in the years of drought, and He shall quicken thy body with eternal life, and thy soul shall be full with delicacies like a watered garden, well irrigated, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Ibn Ezra

English

And the Lord shall guide thee continually. He will be with thee, wherever thou goest.

בצחצחות In drought. Comp. צחא is dry (5:13). It is the opposite of fulness.

יחליץ Some declare it to be hap. leg., and explain it he will make fat; others render it he will strengthen, comparing it with חלוצי armed (Num. 31:5); others still think that יַחֲלִיץ and יְחַלֵּץ he delivereth (Job 36:15) are the same in meaning; as is the case with יַשְׁלִיחַ (Ex. 8:17) and יְשַׁלַּח he sendeth (Ps. 78:45), with יַשְֹמִיחַ (Ps. 89:43), and יְשַֹמַּח he gladdeneth (Lam. 2:17). This latter explanation is right; comp. He keepeth all his bones, not one of them is broken (Ps. 34:21);

ועצמתיו יחליץ means, therefore, He delivereth his bones from the danger of being broken. Fail not, are not cut off; comp. כזב leasing (Ps. 4:3), a thing that cannot last but by chance.
