121

1 שִׁ֗יר לַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת אֶשָּׂ֣א עֵ֭ינַי אֶל־הֶהָרִ֑ים מֵ֝אַ֗יִן יָבֹ֥א עֶזְרִֽי׃ Cantique des degrés. Je lève les yeux vers les montagnes, pour voir d’où me viendra le secours.

2 עֶ֭זְרִי מֵעִ֣ם יְהֹוָ֑ה עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃ Mon secours vient de l’Éternel, qui a fait le ciel et la terre.

3 אַל־יִתֵּ֣ן לַמּ֣וֹט רַגְלֶ֑ךָ אַל־יָ֝נ֗וּם שֹׁמְרֶֽךָ׃ Il ne permettra pas que ton pied chancelle, celui qui te garde ne s’endormira pas.

4 הִנֵּ֣ה לֹֽא־יָ֭נוּם וְלֹ֣א יִישָׁ֑ן שׁ֝וֹמֵ֗ר יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Non certes, il ne s’endort ni ne sommeille, celui qui est le gardien d’Israël.

5 יְהֹוָ֥ה שֹׁמְרֶ֑ךָ יְהֹוָ֥ה צִ֝לְּךָ֗ עַל־יַ֥ד יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ C’est l’Éternel qui te garde, l’Éternel qui est à ta droite comme ton ombre tutélaire.

6 יוֹמָ֗ם הַשֶּׁ֥מֶשׁ לֹֽא־יַכֶּ֗כָּה וְיָרֵ֥חַ בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃ De jour le soleil ne t’atteindra pas, ni la lune pendant la nuit.

7 יְֽהֹוָ֗ה יִשְׁמׇרְךָ֥ מִכׇּל־רָ֑ע יִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר אֶת־נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ Que l’Éternel te préserve de tout mal, qu’il protège ta vie!

8 יְֽהֹוָ֗ה יִשְׁמׇר־צֵאתְךָ֥ וּבוֹאֶ֑ךָ מֵ֝עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ {פ}
Que le Seigneur protège tes allées et venues, désormais et durant l’éternité!

ה' שומרך - מהצר ומכל חולי כי הוא צלך על יד ימינך. והזכיר טעם הצל יומם. בשני ממי"ם, יום בלא לילה וידוע כי השמש תזיק ברוב החום שלה והלבנה בלילה תוסיף לחה מולדת תחלואים, וזה הדבר ברור ומנוסה.
