1 תְּהִלָּ֗ה לְדָ֫וִ֥ד אֲרוֹמִמְךָ֣ אֱלוֹהַ֣י הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַאֲבָרְכָ֥ה שִׁ֝מְךָ֗ לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ Hymne de David. Je veux t’exalter, ô mon Dieu, ô Roi, bénir ton nom jusque dans l’éternité.

2 בְּכׇל־י֥וֹם אֲבָרְכֶ֑ךָּ וַאֲהַלְלָ֥ה שִׁ֝מְךָ֗ לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ Chaque jour je te bénirai, je célébrerai ton nom à jamais.

3 גָּ֘ד֤וֹל יְהֹוָ֣ה וּמְהֻלָּ֣ל מְאֹ֑ד וְ֝לִגְדֻלָּת֗וֹ אֵ֣ין חֵֽקֶר׃ Grand est l’Éternel et justement glorifié, sa grandeur est sans bornes.

4 דּ֣וֹר לְ֭דוֹר יְשַׁבַּ֣ח מַעֲשֶׂ֑יךָ וּגְב֖וּרֹתֶ֣יךָ יַגִּֽידוּ׃ Une génération vante tes œuvres à l’autre, et proclame tes hauts faits.

5 הֲ֭דַר כְּב֣וֹד הוֹדֶ֑ךָ וְדִבְרֵ֖י נִפְלְאֹתֶ֣יךָ אָשִֽׂיחָה׃ La splendeur de ta glorieuse majesté, le détail de tes merveilles, voilà ce que je veux exposer.

6 וֶעֱז֣וּז נֽוֹרְאֹתֶ֣יךָ יֹאמֵ֑רוּ (וגדלותיך) [וּגְדֻלָּתְךָ֥] אֲסַפְּרֶֽנָּה׃ Tous célèbrent la puissance de tes prodiges, et moi aussi je veux annoncer ta grandeur.

7 זֵ֣כֶר רַב־טוּבְךָ֣ יַבִּ֑יעוּ וְצִדְקָתְךָ֥ יְרַנֵּֽנוּ׃ Ils ne tarissent pas sur la gloire de ta grande bonté, et ils chantent ta justice.

8 חַנּ֣וּן וְרַח֣וּם יְהֹוָ֑ה אֶ֥רֶךְ אַ֝פַּ֗יִם וּגְדׇל־חָֽסֶד׃ Clément et miséricordieux est l’Éternel, tardif à la colère et abondant en grâce.

9 טוֹב־יְהֹוָ֥ה לַכֹּ֑ל וְ֝רַחֲמָ֗יו עַל־כׇּל־מַעֲשָֽׂיו׃ L’Éternel est bon pour tous, sa pitié s’étend à toutes ses créatures.

10 יוֹד֣וּךָ יְ֭הֹוָה כׇּל־מַעֲשֶׂ֑יךָ וַ֝חֲסִידֶ֗יךָ יְבָרְכֽוּכָה׃ Toutes tes œuvres te louent, Seigneur; et tes fidèles adorateurs te bénissent.

11 כְּב֣וֹד מַלְכוּתְךָ֣ יֹאמֵ֑רוּ וּגְבוּרָתְךָ֥ יְדַבֵּֽרוּ׃ Ils célèbrent l’honneur de ta royauté, et disent ta puissance,

12 לְהוֹדִ֤יעַ ׀ לִבְנֵ֣י הָ֭אָדָם גְּבוּרֹתָ֑יו וּ֝כְב֗וֹד הֲדַ֣ר מַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃ pour faire connaître aux fils de l’homme tes hauts faits et l’éclat glorieux de ton règne.

13 מַֽלְכוּתְךָ֗ מַלְכ֥וּת כׇּל־עֹלָמִ֑ים וּ֝מֶֽמְשַׁלְתְּךָ֗ בְּכׇל־דּ֥וֹר וָדֹֽר׃ Ta royauté remplit toute l’éternité, et ta domination se prolonge d’âge en âge.

14 סוֹמֵ֣ךְ יְ֭הֹוָה לְכׇל־הַנֹּפְלִ֑ים וְ֝זוֹקֵ֗ף לְכׇל־הַכְּפוּפִֽים׃ L’Éternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, et redresse ceux qui sont courbés.

15 עֵֽינֵי־כֹ֭ל אֵלֶ֣יךָ יְשַׂבֵּ֑רוּ וְאַתָּ֤ה נֽוֹתֵן־לָהֶ֖ם אֶת־אׇכְלָ֣ם בְּעִתּֽוֹ׃ Tous les yeux se tournent avec espoir vers toi, et, toi, tu leur donnes leur subsistance en temps voulu.

16 פּוֹתֵ֥חַ אֶת־יָדֶ֑ךָ וּמַשְׂבִּ֖יעַ לְכׇל־חַ֣י רָצֽוֹן׃ Tu ouvres la main et rassasies avec bienveillance tout être vivant.

17 צַדִּ֣יק יְ֭הֹוָה בְּכׇל־דְּרָכָ֑יו וְ֝חָסִ֗יד בְּכׇל־מַעֲשָֽׂיו׃ L’Éternel est juste en toutes ses voies, et généreux en tous ses actes.

18 קָר֣וֹב יְ֭הֹוָה לְכׇל־קֹרְאָ֑יו לְכֹ֤ל אֲשֶׁ֖ר יִקְרָאֻ֣הוּ בֶאֱמֶֽת׃ L’Éternel est proche de tous ceux qui l’invoquent, de tous ceux qui l’appellent avec sincérité.

19 רְצוֹן־יְרֵאָ֥יו יַעֲשֶׂ֑ה וְֽאֶת־שַׁוְעָתָ֥ם יִ֝שְׁמַ֗ע וְיוֹשִׁיעֵֽם׃ Il accomplit les désirs de ses fidèles, entend leurs supplications et leur porte secours.

20 שׁוֹמֵ֣ר יְ֭הֹוָה אֶת־כׇּל־אֹהֲבָ֑יו וְאֵ֖ת כׇּל־הָרְשָׁעִ֣ים יַשְׁמִֽיד׃ L’Éternel protège tous ceux qui l’aiment, mais il anéantit tous les impies.

21 תְּהִלַּ֥ת יְהֹוָ֗ה יְֽדַבֶּ֫ר־פִּ֥י וִיבָרֵ֣ךְ כׇּל־בָּ֭שָׂר שֵׁ֥ם קׇדְשׁ֗וֹ לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ {פ}
Que ma bouche dise les louanges de l’Éternel, et que toute créature bénisse son saint nom à jamais!

All Thy works shall praise Thee: Even the various species of living creatures that lack knowledge to recognize the perfection of Your creation and the provision of their sustenance will praise You. Human beings who understand these things will also praise You as if they were all giving You thanks.

And Thy pious ones shall bless Thee: In the script of the "Hei," it is said, "And who are the thankful pious ones, for they are always contemplating Your deeds, and they shall bless You continually. For at all times, upon seeing the innovations that are constantly renewed in the creations and the repairs within life and growth, they shall bless You. So too did the sages establish a blessing for every matter according to its needs, as they said, 'When one sees this and this, they bless in this way.' And [it] said, 'And Your pious ones, for each kindness is of the utmost value, and for those who are always contemplating the work of the deity and they will bless him always at all times of contemplation are the pious.'
