Psaumes 8:9

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

8

Au chef des chantres. Sur la Ghitit. Psaume de David.
2 יְהֹוָ֤ה אֲדֹנֵ֗ינוּ מָה־אַדִּ֣יר שִׁ֭מְךָ בְּכׇל־הָאָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּנָ֥ה ה֝וֹדְךָ֗ עַל־הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ Éternel, notre Seigneur! que ton nom est glorieux par toute la terre! car tu as répandu ta majesté sur les cieux.
Pourtant tu l’as fait presque l’égal des êtres divins; tu l’as couronné de gloire et de magnificence!
7 תַּ֭מְשִׁילֵהוּ בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣י יָדֶ֑יךָ כֹּ֝֗ל שַׁ֣תָּה תַֽחַת־רַגְלָֽיו׃ tu lui as donné l’empire sur les œuvres de tes mains, et mis tout à ses pieds:
10 יְהֹוָ֥ה אֲדֹנֵ֑ינוּ מָה־אַדִּ֥יר שִׁ֝מְךָ֗ בְּכׇל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ {פ}

Ibn Ezra

Radak (David Kimhi)

English

Fowl of heaven and fish of the sea: – He says: Even over those which are not in the earth with him, as the fowl which flies in the air, and the fishes which swim in the waters, he rules over all and snares them by his cunning devices. And further, by his understanding and his cunning devices

He passes over the paths of the sea: – in that he makes ships and passes in them over the paths of the sea.
