Aliya 7

Il répondit: "Me voici."
Il répondit: "Me voici mon fils."
Abraham répondit: "Dieu choisira lui-même l’agneau de l’holocauste mon fils!" Et ils allèrent tous deux ensemble.
Abraham dénomma cet endroit: Adonaï-Yiré; d’où l’on dit aujourd’hui:"Sur le mont d’Adônaï-Yéraé."
16 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר בִּ֥י נִשְׁבַּ֖עְתִּי נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֑ה כִּ֗י יַ֚עַן אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשִׂ֙יתָ֙ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה וְלֹ֥א חָשַׂ֖כְתָּ אֶת־בִּנְךָ֥ אֶת־יְחִידֶֽךָ׃ et dit: "Je jure par moi-même, a dit l’Éternel, que parce que tu as agi ainsi, parce que tu n’as point épargné ton enfant, ton fils unique,

19 וַיָּ֤שׇׁב אַבְרָהָם֙ אֶל־נְעָרָ֔יו וַיָּקֻ֛מוּ וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ יַחְדָּ֖ו אֶל־בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב אַבְרָהָ֖ם בִּבְאֵ֥ר שָֽׁבַע׃ {פ}

Ramban (Nachmanides)

AND HE CLEAVED THE WOOD FOR THE BURNT-OFFERING. This illustrates Abraham’s zeal in performing a commandment for he thought that perhaps there would be no wood in that place, and so he carried it for three days. It may be that Abraham disqualified for use as an offering any wood in which a worm is found, as is the law of the Torah, and so he took from his house sound wood for the burnt-offering. Hence it says, And he cleaved the wood for the burnt-offering.
