Aliya 7

Il répondit: "Me voici."
Il répondit: "Me voici mon fils."
Abraham répondit: "Dieu choisira lui-même l’agneau de l’holocauste mon fils!" Et ils allèrent tous deux ensemble.
Abraham dénomma cet endroit: Adonaï-Yiré; d’où l’on dit aujourd’hui:"Sur le mont d’Adônaï-Yéraé."
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר בִּ֥י נִשְׁבַּ֖עְתִּי נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֑ה כִּ֗י יַ֚עַן אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשִׂ֙יתָ֙ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה וְלֹ֥א חָשַׂ֖כְתָּ אֶת־בִּנְךָ֥ אֶת־יְחִידֶֽךָ׃ et dit: "Je jure par moi-même, a dit l’Éternel, que parce que tu as agi ainsi, parce que tu n’as point épargné ton enfant, ton fils unique,
וַיָּ֤שׇׁב אַבְרָהָם֙ אֶל־נְעָרָ֔יו וַיָּקֻ֛מוּ וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ יַחְדָּ֖ו אֶל־בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב אַבְרָהָ֖ם בִּבְאֵ֥ר שָֽׁבַע׃ {פ}
אֶת־ע֥וּץ בְּכֹר֖וֹ וְאֶת־בּ֣וּז אָחִ֑יו וְאֶת־קְמוּאֵ֖ל אֲבִ֥י אֲרָֽם׃ Ouç, son premier-né; Bouz, son frère; Kemouel, père d’Aram;
Késed, Hazo, Pildach, Yidlaf et Bathuel,
Milka avait donné ces huit fils à Nahor, frère d’Abraham.
וּפִֽילַגְשׁ֖וֹ וּשְׁמָ֣הּ רְאוּמָ֑ה וַתֵּ֤לֶד גַּם־הִוא֙ אֶת־טֶ֣בַח וְאֶת־גַּ֔חַם וְאֶת־תַּ֖חַשׁ וְאֶֽת־מַעֲכָֽה׃ {פ}

Radak (David Kimhi)

English

Avraham’s reply to his son is capable of two interpretations. One interpretation would be that the word בני is a response to Yitzchok’s cry or question, meaning “I am here my son; G’d will select the lamb for the burnt offering.” In other words: “don’t worry G’d already knows who is going to be the lamb for the offering. He will put it at our disposal.” The second interpretation of Avraham’s answer would arrange the words as follows: “G’d will select the lamb for the offering; who is the lamb? It is my son.” Yitzchok understood from this that he had been chosen to be the offering. This is why the Torah continues, significantly: וילכו שניהם יחד, “they continued walking together,” i.e. of one mind and of one spirit.
