Psaumes 73:8

Bible du Rabbinat 1899 [fr]

73

Psaume d’Assaph. Ah!
Le Dieu suprême possède-t-il la science?"
17 עַד־אָ֭בוֹא אֶל־מִקְדְּשֵׁי־אֵ֑ל אָ֝בִ֗ינָה לְאַחֲרִיתָֽם׃ jusqu’à ce que, pénétrant dans le sanctuaire de Dieu, je me fusse rendu compte de leur fin.
23 וַאֲנִ֣י תָמִ֣יד עִמָּ֑ךְ אָ֝חַ֗זְתָּ בְּיַד־יְמִינִֽי׃ Mais désormais je resterai toujours avec toi: tu as saisi ma main droite;
24 בַּעֲצָתְךָ֥ תַנְחֵ֑נִי וְ֝אַחַ֗ר כָּב֥וֹד תִּקָּחֵֽנִי׃ tu me guideras par ton conseil, et finalement tu me recueilleras avec honneur.
28 וַאֲנִ֤י ׀ קִ֥רְבַ֥ת אֱלֹהִ֗ים לִ֫י־ט֥וֹב שַׁתִּ֤י ׀ בַּאדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֣ה מַחְסִ֑י לְ֝סַפֵּ֗ר כׇּל־מַלְאֲכוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ {פ}

Rashi

English

They consume their neighbors.

and speak wickedly about oppression To oppress the needy.

they speak about the Most High e.g. Pharaoh, Sennacherib, and Nebuchadnezzar. [Pharaoh said] (Exod. 5:2): “Who is the Lord that I should obey Him?” [Sennacherib said] (Isa. 36:20), “Who are they among all the gods of the lands...?” [Nebuchadnezzar said] (Isa. 14:14), “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds.” That is the meaning of: “They have set their mouth against Heaven.”

Radak (David Kimhi)

English

"Let them melt away." This verse is a prayer or wish for the wicked to be dissolved or destroyed. The commentary states that the term "מנחי העי"ן" (literally "the guidance of the eye") is not found in Scripture, but rather in the words of our sages. Additionally, the term "מק בשרו" (literally "his flesh") refers to the act of multiplying or duplicating, which can be found in his work and others.

"And they speak wickedly, oppression." They do not hesitate to speak of the injustice they commit, nor do they conceal it. Rather, they openly speak of their wickedness.

"From on high." It means that there is no higher authority that will punish them for this.
