1 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ L’Éternel parla ainsi à Moïse:

2 דַּבֵּ֨ר אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֜ן וְאֶל־בָּנָ֗יו וְיִנָּֽזְרוּ֙ מִקׇּדְשֵׁ֣י בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְלֹ֥א יְחַלְּל֖וּ אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם קׇדְשִׁ֑י אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֵ֧ם מַקְדִּשִׁ֛ים לִ֖י אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ "Avertis Aaron et ses fils d’être circonspects à l’égard des saintetés des enfants d’Israël, pour ne pas profaner mon saint nom en profanant ce que ceux-ci me consacrent: je suis l’Éternel.

3 אֱמֹ֣ר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם לְדֹרֹ֨תֵיכֶ֜ם כׇּל־אִ֣ישׁ ׀ אֲשֶׁר־יִקְרַ֣ב מִכׇּל־זַרְעֲכֶ֗ם אֶל־הַקֳּדָשִׁים֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יַקְדִּ֤ישׁוּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה וְטֻמְאָת֖וֹ עָלָ֑יו וְנִכְרְתָ֞ה הַנֶּ֧פֶשׁ הַהִ֛וא מִלְּפָנַ֖י אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ Dis-leur: à l’avenir, quiconque de toute votre famille, étant en état de souillure, s’approcherait des saintetés que les enfants d’Israël consacrent à l’Éternel, cette personne sera retranchée de devant moi: je suis l’Éternel.

4 אִ֣ישׁ אִ֞ישׁ מִזֶּ֣רַע אַהֲרֹ֗ן וְה֤וּא צָר֙וּעַ֙ א֣וֹ זָ֔ב בַּקֳּדָשִׁים֙ לֹ֣א יֹאכַ֔ל עַ֖ד אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִטְהָ֑ר וְהַנֹּגֵ֙עַ֙ בְּכׇל־טְמֵא־נֶ֔פֶשׁ א֣וֹ אִ֔ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־תֵּצֵ֥א מִמֶּ֖נּוּ שִׁכְבַת־זָֽרַע׃ Tout individu de la race d’Aaron, atteint de lèpre ou de flux, ne mangera pas de choses saintes qu’il ne soit devenu pur. De même, celui qui touche à une personne souillée par un cadavre, ou celui qui a laissé échapper de la matière séminale,

5 אוֹ־אִישׁ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִגַּ֔ע בְּכׇל־שֶׁ֖רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִטְמָא־ל֑וֹ א֤וֹ בְאָדָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִטְמָא־ל֔וֹ לְכֹ֖ל טֻמְאָתֽוֹ׃ ou celui qui aurait touché à quelque reptile de nature à le souiller, ou à un homme qui lui aurait communiqué une impureté quelconque:

6 נֶ֚פֶשׁ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּגַּע־בּ֔וֹ וְטָמְאָ֖ה עַד־הָעָ֑רֶב וְלֹ֤א יֹאכַל֙ מִן־הַקֳּדָשִׁ֔ים כִּ֛י אִם־רָחַ֥ץ בְּשָׂר֖וֹ בַּמָּֽיִם׃ la personne qui y touche devant rester souillée jusqu’au soir, le pontife ne mangera rien des choses saintes qu’il n’ait baigné son corps dans l’eau.

7 וּבָ֥א הַשֶּׁ֖מֶשׁ וְטָהֵ֑ר וְאַחַר֙ יֹאכַ֣ל מִן־הַקֳּדָשִׁ֔ים כִּ֥י לַחְמ֖וֹ הֽוּא׃ Après le soleil couché, il deviendra pur; et alors il pourra jouir des choses saintes, car elles sont sa subsistance.

8 נְבֵלָ֧ה וּטְרֵפָ֛ה לֹ֥א יֹאכַ֖ל לְטׇמְאָה־בָ֑הּ אֲנִ֖י יְהֹוָֽה׃ Une bête morte ou déchirée, il n’en mangera point, elle le rendrait impur: je suis l’Éternel.

9 וְשָׁמְר֣וּ אֶת־מִשְׁמַרְתִּ֗י וְלֹֽא־יִשְׂא֤וּ עָלָיו֙ חֵ֔טְא וּמֵ֥תוּ ב֖וֹ כִּ֣י יְחַלְּלֻ֑הוּ אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה מְקַדְּשָֽׁם׃ Qu’ils respectent mon observance et ne s’exposent pas, à cause d’elle, à un péché, car ils mourraient pour l’avoir violée: je suis l’Éternel qui les sanctifie.

10 וְכׇל־זָ֖ר לֹא־יֹ֣אכַל קֹ֑דֶשׁ תּוֹשַׁ֥ב כֹּהֵ֛ן וְשָׂכִ֖יר לֹא־יֹ֥אכַל קֹֽדֶשׁ׃ Nul profane ne mangera d’une chose sainte; celui qui habite chez un pontife ou est salarié par lui, ne mangera point d’une chose sainte.

11 וְכֹהֵ֗ן כִּֽי־יִקְנֶ֥ה נֶ֙פֶשׁ֙ קִנְיַ֣ן כַּסְפּ֔וֹ ה֖וּא יֹ֣אכַל בּ֑וֹ וִילִ֣יד בֵּית֔וֹ הֵ֖ם יֹאכְל֥וּ בְלַחְמֽוֹ׃ Mais si un pontife a acheté une personne à prix d’argent, elle pourra en manger; et les esclaves nés chez lui, ceux-là aussi mangeront de son pain.

12 וּבַ֨ת־כֹּהֵ֔ן כִּ֥י תִהְיֶ֖ה לְאִ֣ישׁ זָ֑ר הִ֕וא בִּתְרוּמַ֥ת הַקֳּדָשִׁ֖ים לֹ֥א תֹאכֵֽל׃ Si la fille d’un prêtre est mariée à un profane, elle ne mangera point des saintes offrandes.

13 וּבַת־כֹּהֵן֩ כִּ֨י תִהְיֶ֜ה אַלְמָנָ֣ה וּגְרוּשָׁ֗ה וְזֶ֘רַע֮ אֵ֣ין לָהּ֒ וְשָׁבָ֞ה אֶל־בֵּ֤ית אָבִ֙יהָ֙ כִּנְעוּרֶ֔יהָ מִלֶּ֥חֶם אָבִ֖יהָ תֹּאכֵ֑ל וְכׇל־זָ֖ר לֹא־יֹ֥אכַל בּֽוֹ׃ Si cette fille de pontife devient veuve ou est divorcée, qu’elle n’ait point de postérité, et qu’elle retourne à la maison de son père comme en sa jeunesse, elle mangera du pain de son père; mais aucun profane n’en mangera.

14 וְאִ֕ישׁ כִּֽי־יֹאכַ֥ל קֹ֖דֶשׁ בִּשְׁגָגָ֑ה וְיָסַ֤ף חֲמִֽשִׁיתוֹ֙ עָלָ֔יו וְנָתַ֥ן לַכֹּהֵ֖ן אֶת־הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ Si quelqu’un avait, par inadvertance, mangé une chose sainte, il en ajoutera le cinquième en sus, qu’il donnera au pontife avec la chose sainte.

15 וְלֹ֣א יְחַלְּל֔וּ אֶת־קׇדְשֵׁ֖י בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־יָרִ֖ימוּ לַיהֹוָֽה׃ Ils ne doivent pas laisser profaner les saintetés des enfants d’Israël, ce dont ils font hommage à l’Éternel,

16 וְהִשִּׂ֤יאוּ אוֹתָם֙ עֲוֺ֣ן אַשְׁמָ֔ה בְּאׇכְלָ֖ם אֶת־קׇדְשֵׁיהֶ֑ם כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה מְקַדְּשָֽׁם׃ {פ}
et faire peser sur eux un délit punissable, alors qu’ils consommeraient leurs propres saintetés; car c’est moi, l’Éternel, qui les sanctifie."

17 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ L’Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:

18 דַּבֵּ֨ר אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֜ן וְאֶל־בָּנָ֗יו וְאֶל֙ כׇּל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם אִ֣ישׁ אִישׁ֩ מִבֵּ֨ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל וּמִן־הַגֵּ֣ר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אֲשֶׁ֨ר יַקְרִ֤יב קׇרְבָּנוֹ֙ לְכׇל־נִדְרֵיהֶם֙ וּלְכׇל־נִדְבוֹתָ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־יַקְרִ֥יבוּ לַיהֹוָ֖ה לְעֹלָֽה׃ "parie à Aaron et à ses fils, ainsi qu’à tous les enfants d’Israël, et dis-leur: qui que ce soit de la maison d’Israël, ou parmi les étrangers en Israël, qui voudra présenter son offrande, par suite de quelque vœu ou don volontaire de leur part; s’ils l’offrent à l’Éternel comme holocauste,

19 לִֽרְצֹנְכֶ֑ם תָּמִ֣ים זָכָ֔ר בַּבָּקָ֕ר בַּכְּשָׂבִ֖ים וּבָֽעִזִּֽים׃ pour être agréés, prenez-la sans défaut, mâle, parmi le gros bétail, les brebis ou les chèvres.

20 כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁר־בּ֥וֹ מ֖וּם לֹ֣א תַקְרִ֑יבוּ כִּי־לֹ֥א לְרָצ֖וֹן יִהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶֽם׃ Tout animal qui aurait un défaut, ne l’offrez point; car il ne sera pas agréé de votre part.

21 וְאִ֗ישׁ כִּֽי־יַקְרִ֤יב זֶֽבַח־שְׁלָמִים֙ לַיהֹוָ֔ה לְפַלֵּא־נֶ֙דֶר֙ א֣וֹ לִנְדָבָ֔ה בַּבָּקָ֖ר א֣וֹ בַצֹּ֑אן תָּמִ֤ים יִֽהְיֶה֙ לְרָצ֔וֹן כׇּל־מ֖וּם לֹ֥א יִהְיֶה־בּֽוֹ׃ De même, si quelqu’un veut offrir une victime rémunératoire à l’Éternel, par suite d’un vœu particulier ou d’un don volontaire, dans le gros ou dans le menu bétail, cette victime, pour être agréée, doit être irréprochable, n’avoir aucun défaut.

22 עַוֶּ֩רֶת֩ א֨וֹ שָׁב֜וּר אוֹ־חָר֣וּץ אֽוֹ־יַבֶּ֗לֶת א֤וֹ גָרָב֙ א֣וֹ יַלֶּ֔פֶת לֹא־תַקְרִ֥יבוּ אֵ֖לֶּה לַיהֹוָ֑ה וְאִשֶּׁ֗ה לֹא־תִתְּנ֥וּ מֵהֶ֛ם עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ לַיהֹוָֽה׃ Une bête aveugle, estropiée ou mutilée, affectée de verrues, de gale sèche ou humide, vous ne les offrirez point à l’Éternel, et vous n’en ferez rien brûler sur l’autel en son honneur.

23 וְשׁ֥וֹר וָשֶׂ֖ה שָׂר֣וּעַ וְקָל֑וּט נְדָבָה֙ תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה אֹת֔וֹ וּלְנֵ֖דֶר לֹ֥א יֵרָצֶֽה׃ Si une grosse ou une menue bête a un membre trop long ou trop court, tu pourras l’employer comme offrande volontaire, mais comme offrande votive elle ne serait point agréée.

24 וּמָע֤וּךְ וְכָתוּת֙ וְנָת֣וּק וְכָר֔וּת לֹ֥א תַקְרִ֖יבוּ לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה וּֽבְאַרְצְכֶ֖ם לֹ֥א תַעֲשֽׂוּ׃ Celle qui a les testicules froissés, écrasés, rompus ou coupés, ne l’offrez point à l’Éternel, et dans votre pays ne faites point pareille chose.

25 וּמִיַּ֣ד בֶּן־נֵכָ֗ר לֹ֥א תַקְרִ֛יבוּ אֶת־לֶ֥חֶם אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם מִכׇּל־אֵ֑לֶּה כִּ֣י מׇשְׁחָתָ֤ם בָּהֶם֙ מ֣וּם בָּ֔ם לֹ֥א יֵרָצ֖וּ לָכֶֽם׃ {ס} De la part même d’un étranger vous n’offrirez aucun de ces animaux comme aliment à votre Dieu; car ils ont subi une mutilation, ils sont défectueux, vous ne les feriez point agréer."

26 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ L’Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:

27 שׁ֣וֹר אוֹ־כֶ֤שֶׂב אוֹ־עֵז֙ כִּ֣י יִוָּלֵ֔ד וְהָיָ֛ה שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים תַּ֣חַת אִמּ֑וֹ וּמִיּ֤וֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי֙ וָהָ֔לְאָה יֵרָצֶ֕ה לְקׇרְבַּ֥ן אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהֹוָֽה׃ "Lorsqu’un veau, un agneau ou un chevreau vient de naître, il doit rester sept jours auprès de sa mère; à partir du huitième jour seulement, il sera propre à être offert en sacrifice à l’Éternel.

28 וְשׁ֖וֹר אוֹ־שֶׂ֑ה אֹת֣וֹ וְאֶת־בְּנ֔וֹ לֹ֥א תִשְׁחֲט֖וּ בְּי֥וֹם אֶחָֽד׃ Crosse ou menue bête, vous n’égorgerez point ranimai avec son petit le même jour.

29 וְכִֽי־תִזְבְּח֥וּ זֶֽבַח־תּוֹדָ֖ה לַיהֹוָ֑ה לִֽרְצֹנְכֶ֖ם תִּזְבָּֽחוּ׃ Quand vous ferez un sacrifice de reconnaissance à l’Éternel, faites ce sacrifice de manière à être agréés.

30 בַּיּ֤וֹם הַהוּא֙ יֵאָכֵ֔ל לֹֽא־תוֹתִ֥ירוּ מִמֶּ֖נּוּ עַד־בֹּ֑קֶר אֲנִ֖י יְהֹוָֽה׃ Il devra être consommé le jour même, vous n’en laisserez rien pour le lendemain: je suis l’Éternel.

31 וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙ מִצְוֺתַ֔י וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם אֹתָ֑ם אֲנִ֖י יְהֹוָֽה׃ Gardez mes commandements et pratiquez-les: je suis l’Éternel.

32 וְלֹ֤א תְחַלְּלוּ֙ אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם קׇדְשִׁ֔י וְנִ֨קְדַּשְׁתִּ֔י בְּת֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה מְקַדִּשְׁכֶֽם׃ Ne déshonorez point mon saint nom, afin que je sois sanctifié au milieu des enfants d’Israël, moi, l’Éternel, qui vous sanctifie,

33 הַמּוֹצִ֤יא אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם לִהְי֥וֹת לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִ֑ים אֲנִ֖י יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
qui vous ai fait sortir du pays d’Égypte pour devenir votre Dieu: je suis l’Éternel."

כל איש אשר יקרב. אין קריבה זו אלא אכילה, וכן מצינו שנאמרה אזהרת אכילת קדשים בטמאה בלשון נגיעה בכל קדש לא תגע (ויקרא יב ד), אזהרה לאוכל ולמדוה רבותינו מגזרה שוה. ואי אפשר לומר שחיב על הנגיעה, שהרי נאמר כרת על האכילה בצו את אהרן (ויקרא ז כ. כא) שתי כריתות זו אצל זו, ואם על הנגיעה חיב לא הצרך לחיבו על האכילה, וכן נדרש בתורת כהנים וכי יש נוגע חיב, אם כן מה תלמוד לומר יקרב, משיכשר לקרב, שאין חיבין עליו משום טמאה, אלא אם כן קרבו מתיריו. ואם תאמר שלש כריתות בטמאת כהנים למה, כבר נדרשו במסכת שבועות אחת לכלל ואחת לפרט וכו' (שבועות ז א):

וטמאתו עליו. וטמאת האדם עליו, יכול בבשר הכתוב מדבר, וטמאתו של בשר עליו, ובטהור שאכל את הטמא הכתוב מדבר, הרי כבר נאמר (ויק' ז יט) והבשר אשר יגע בכל טמא לא יאכל, אלא על כרחך ממשמעו אתה למד, במי שטמאתו פורחת ממנו הכתוב מדבר, וזהו האדם שיש לו טהרה בטבילה:

ונכרתה וגו'. יכול מצד זה לצד זה, יכרת ממקומו ויתישב במקום אחר, תלמוד לומר אני ה', בכל מקום אני:
